  • this is why i prefer japanese over brazilian

  • @HyokaiJuJutsu great videos !!!

  • i can't explain the difference of ju jutsu and aikido :| the techniques are almost same

  • @nokia26300 in aikido there are no strikes punces or kicks

  • @blackbelt807 Um.... that depends on what branch you are studying... Strikes were used in Aiki-Jujutsu and it's "offspring" Aikido. The more advanced you get in the art, the less you need striking. Some of the branches lead by later students don't use much (if any) strikes because of that. But it takes 10+ years of CORRECT training to be able to perform the art effectively in a real life situation without strikes. Aikido is really just the psudo-passifist version of Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu.

  • is this traditional japanese jiu jitsu??

  • This was originally the reason for the pursuit of scientific approach to find a reasonable explanation for the facts mentioned below (Main subject here is the knowledge of fighting with empty hands) Conclusion: “As a sport activity Martial Arts aren't real” so only the military men know better this hidden truth. e.g. They’ll never smash the opponents throat, break a leg, neck bones or blind a fellow during a sport competition and of course just because It’s not a valid strategy.

  • Almost like kung fu

  • Remeber the good old days, when a person said "Jujutsu" and didn't have to specify "Japanese" and not "Brazilian"?

  • i train jujutsu

  • Trying to compare Ninja Taijutsu to Samurai Jujutsu is as pointless as comparing Northern Shaolin to Southern Shaolin. They're tactics used for different purposes. Samurai were like U.S. Marines and Army Rangers and Cavalry. Ninja(Shinobi) were more like Navy S.E.A.L.s and Delta Force.

  • @44excalibur samurai=straightforward ninja=sucker punch (not saying i dont respect ninjutsu, cause i do) =]

  • Very Cool!

  • 1:21 wow

  • @shockwave5050 almost correct. Ninjutsu is a what is kind of combination of jujutsu, judo, karate, aikido, kendo. But ninjutsu is much more than that. Some call it the encyclopedia of martial arts. I spent over 4 years practicing it. It is an amazing art.

  • Nice job guys

  • I'm laughing my ass off watching this.

Not in a "haha this is funny" sense, but in a "Oh dayum... I wouldn't even think twice about insulting someone who practices this."

  • hieno taistelu laji tuo jujuitsu!!!

  • Fuck I so want to ninja now.

    :(

  • just awesome!

  • 0:25 that one was sweeeet

  • Is this Ju Jutsu Kai? Looks like something Kai-like but a little different.

  • Awsome :D I think I'm going to start training Jujutsu 2011 :D

  • @Sigge971 same here :)

  • I love the slam onto the floor, help them up painfully and slam them back down again on the other side of their body xDD

  • Is this ju Jutsu Kai?

  • For goodness' sake, be careful with the girl who is doing her homework. Safety comes first.

  • Gun is best self defence

  • @DemoneaMedia A gun can't give you health, discipline and self confidence. It won't make you a calmer less tense nicer person to be around.

90% of people don't do martial arts to learn to defend themselves. They do it because A) It's enjoyable, B) To get into shape.

  • @Eatmybologna my magnum 44 can easily beat your little kicks...

  • @DemoneaMedia trolllololol

  • rofl at the guys in the background at 0:54

  • right now im trying to learn tai chi then i will go to ninjutsu and then taijutsu and then finly jiu jutsu

  • @shockwave5050 no point doing both ninjutsu and jujutsu, they are almost practically the same thing man.

  • @NickTheVmaster No they're not. Ninjutsu uses Taijutsu for hand to hand combat, and is not the same as Samurai Jujutsu.

  • @44excalibur yes, the names are different, but the techniques are very similar. Take a few lessons in jujutsu and ninjutsu and you'll see what I'm talking about.

  • @NickTheVmaster Yes, and one can also say that Jujutsu and Chin Na are very smiliar since the Asian martial arts all share a common ancestry. The difference is in application and execution. Jujutsu places greater emphasis on grappling, throwing, joint-locking, and swordfighting as the Samurai usually fought in body armor. Taijutsu was used by the Ninja and had greater emphasis on atemi-waza(striking) combined with a variety of smaller weapons, stealth, and close quarter combat techniques.

  • @44excalibur ok I know I haven't really been making sense (I know what you're talking about and agree with you) but my point was is that they are just similar. That's all. Not exactly the same, but just similar. Like comparing karate to kickboxing. Both similar yet vastly different. That was my point.

  • @NickTheVmaster Yeah, you're right. No problem. Sorry if I seemed too nitpicky. :)

  • @NickTheVmaster

    PRACTICALLY THE SAME? WTF MAN!!!

    OK NINJUTSU 101!

TAIJUTSU IS ONE OF THE SKILLS A NINJA MUST LEARN.

JUJUTSU IS A FORM OF TAIJUTSU.

THEREFORE, NINJUTSU IS NOT TAIJUTSU, NINJUTSU IS A SYSTEM OF SKILLS. ALONG WITH TAIJUTSU THERE ARE OTHER SKILLS NEEDED TO BE LEARNED, SUCH AS THE WAY OF THE SWORD, THE WAY OF THE SPEAR, AND THE WAY OF THE STAFF, ARCHERY, HORSERIDING, CLIMBING, KNIFE THROWING, SURVIVAL, FIREMAKING etc.

Thanks mysoulsdead666, you're right you know.

  • @TrueMartialArts Woo! I'm an expert! not really... I never claimed to be an expert and just posted my opinion. Everyone has one these days. Don't complain about it because it's human nature to have an opinion. Also, yes, you are correct in what you say, but mosts dojos do not teach all of these things. I was paraphrasing to make things simpler. Whilst the Ninjutsu teachings involve all of what you have said, most dojos only teach the taijutsu side, which is very similar to jujutsu.

  • @TrueMartialArts ... thank you.... hes trying to tell me this too and im like WTF! ive spent HOURS educating MYSELF on history and techniques of different martial arts.... ESPECIALLY JAPANESE martial arts...

and he just wont listen to me...

  • @TrueMartialArts that's correct :)

  • Do you even know what Ju Jutsu is in translation from japanese? There are several translations: One is 10 arts ! Ju Jutsu was art that samurai had trained ! Ninjas are outlawed samurai, with means that ninjutsu is just samurai in black equipment. Ju Jutsu is in fact one of the oldest martial arts. Among 10 art are Judo, aikido, karate as 3 most present skills !

  • @dusankrang it's ju..not juu...juu means 10...ju means gentle

  • @dusankrang u forgot ninjutsu and karate comes mainly from okinawa

  • @NickTheVmaster

no, not at all, jujutsu is a martial art, ninjutsu is not a martial art.

  • @jin54363 yeah I know that, I was simplifying things. Ninjutsu is a system of learning, with various subjects. But the taijutsu that is 99% of what will most likely be taught at a ninjutsu dojo and the taijutsu that is taught is very similar to jujutsu.

  • @NickTheVmaster

a real ninjutsu dojo would be illegal, imagine a dojo in which you had to deal with explosives, stealth moves, spying. ninjutsu is when you attack your enemy from afar, never close combat

  • @NickTheVmaster no they are not.... Ninjutsu is based off of waaaaay different fighting style... jujutsu is ground work more or less... ninjutsu is ground, strikes, and mainly weapons....

  • @ABluishBaby ummm I think you're confusing Jujutsu with BJJ here. BJJ is ground-work, JJ is standup and ground work, like ninjutsu, and also many Jujutsu dojos teach weapons training too. (I refer you to the Katori Shinto Ryu taught by Otake Risuke and I also recommend you look up Tetsuzan Kuroda sensei.)

  • @NickTheVmaster I believe youre confused... where do you think BJJ came from? the Gracies developed it from JUJUTSU ! they just put their own spin on it.... and the weapons training differenciates do to each weapon practically having its on jutsu... example) Tessenjutsu....

AND some dojos arent specific to just one martial art... they commonly put some other form into the curriculum, even if you dont realize it...

  • @ABluishBaby Actually, the Gracies did not devlop BJJ from classical Jujustu. BJJ was derived from Kodokan Judo and focused on Judo Ne-waza(ground technique). One of Judo founder Jigoro Kano's students was Mitsuyo Maeda, who travelled to Brazil and taught Judo. At the time, westerners couldn't distinguish between Judo and classical Jujutsu, so Maeda called his style "Kano Jiu Jitsu." One of Kano's students was Carlos Gracie, who taught his younger brother Helio, creator of BJJ.

  • @44excalibur Judo derived from aikijujutsu.. which jujutsu derived from as well... judo just emphasized on throwing more than jujutsu.... therefore BJJ is a variation of jujutsu/judo which are closely related just as a brother/sister relationship... now would everyone get off me? ive done MY research... go do yours

  • @ABluishBaby I have done my research. Judo founder Jigoro Kano is shown to have studied the Tenjin Shin'yō-ryū school of Jujutsu, a combination of Yōshin-ryū and Shin no Shindō-ryū. Kano also studied Kito Ryu. Aikijujutsu is not mentioned. Judo was founded in 1882. Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu was founded in 1900 by Takeda Sokaku, which is descended from various schools of Jujutsu and Sumo. Mitsuo Maeda studied Judo under Kano and then taught the Gracies who focused on Judo Ne Waza. These are facts.

  • @ABluishBaby And Jujutsu emphasized throwing and striking as much as Judo, as well as choking, joint-locks, submissions and weapons training. Judo doesn't just focus on throwing, it also has jont-locks, takedowns, kicks, punches, and ground technique(ne waza), which is where BJJ got its groundfighting from. The lineage is Yōshin-ryū and Shin no Shindō-ryū > Tenjin Shin'yō-ryū and Kito Ryu > Kodokan Judo> Brazilian Jiu Jutsu.

  • @44excalibur ..... BROTHER/SISTER RELATIONSHIP !! now shut your mouth... im tired of your "defense"...

  • @ABluishBaby First, it's not a "defense," I'm just stating facts. The Gracies learned Judo under Mitsuyo Maeda and from that developed BJJ. Carlos and Helio never studied classical Japanese Jujutsu. Second, there's no reason to lose your temper just because I'm sharing information with you that contradicts your statements. Third, don't tell me to "shut my mouth." I'm older than you and I did my research. People who engage in arguments on youtube are only seeking to reaffirm their own beliefs.

  • @44excalibur 1) You dont know how old i am. 2) That's why you are still arguing with me....

    get a life...

  • @ABluishBaby 1) Your profile says you're 25, unless that is inaccurate. 2) I'm not arguing with you. I'm stating facts. You're arguing with me because you don't like that the facts I'm stating contradict your inaccurate statements.

  • super !

  • Guys this is ment to look cool.

    not to be very effective...

  • 1:16 ftw

  • i just uploaded my first jujutsu matches pleas watch and let me know what you think or if you have any tips for me or something that would be nice thanks :D

  • hahahahahah yeah bro jiu jitsu is unrealistic..... good call. keep boxing bro.

  • Is this Goshin Jiu Jitsu?

  • i wanna see someone in wec or ufc do some crap like that...they'd be legends! i studied this and ninjutsu for about a year, and had to stop cuz it was more of a show than practical...some of the techniques are too dangerous to spar with (so it could never become truly instinctual if u need it in a real fight) and the others only work when you punch me a certain way...this is hollywood martial arts in my opinion

  • perda de tempo!

  • when they attack with the knife they died a few times

the throws are always the same

but their demonstration were really good

  • Look....I looked into the history about that and it's not misspelled, you don't need to belive me, but I know.....JUJUTSU was a traditional samurais came up with that....then this all went three ways...AIKIDO...KARATE...JUDO...then...not very long time ago....they need to come up with another selfdefence just for the police....and all these three came back together but it's not the same.....it's VERY VERY different....and if you don't belive me...head master of jujutsu runs our club....

  • this video is very impressive, however, i find it hard to understand, why bring him back up after he's already down?

  • It is critical that the prospective student understand that what is taught at Ryushinkan focuses on survival, efficiency in movement, practicality, and universal applications in all circumstances and is purely combat-oriented. There can be no sport applications in a situation where life and death is the prize or trophy of victory. Any technique or method that increases the probability of survival must be the primary objective.

  • welcome to youtube where eweryone is an expert......

  • @mysoulsdead666 haha xD

    true true ^^

  • @blackdog2612 indeed.

  • @blackdog2612 hay thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

  • @mysoulsdead666

...and people cant spell simple words.

  • @mysoulsdead666

Do not make spelling mistakes when you are being snide.

  • @L1VeEDGE look......iam sorry if i offended you and yes i know that you think im just another uneducated simple minded and illiterate idiot well truth be told iwas under alot of stress as i have been for several weeks now,and now i when i look back at my comment's i can see what you mean or atleast i think i can...but this whole fight is about me spelling a few words wrong,i do however check my spelling before i post, and i put my words together correctly most of the time so sorry.

  • @mysoulsdead666

  • @mysoulsdead666

    I wrote a comment, a single sentence.

You wrote me two letters full of insults.

I have looked @ your comment history.

You prevoke people with stupid comments.

You can have the last word, insult me.

  • @mysoulsdead666 HOW DID YOU KNOW. I have, like...a 15th degree black belt in EVERYTHING.

  • @mysoulsdead666 Good saying haha

  • This is Jujitsu not Ju Jutsu there's a huge difference! go to chikaraken com and click on the Ju Jutsu link for real Ju Jutsu

  • You don't know much about what you're talking about... Jujitsu is just mistranslation of jujutsu. In fact the way you spelled "Ninjutsu" as "Ninjitsu" was a big gigantic clue that you don't know what you're talking about.

I don't understand why people make comments on things they're not knowledgeable about. When people where turning japanese sounds into romaji they wrote Jujutsu as Jujitsu because that's how it sounded to them. Ideograms to alphabet error. So yes this IS Jujutsu.

  • Obviously you didn't look up the site I posted, and yes, I type very fast... so I misspell a word here and there. Japanese Jujitsu is not the same as Brazilian Jujitsu and this You Tube post is neither. And after taking Ju Jutsu for over a decade... I do know what I'm talking about. It's lame YouTube video posts like this that sadden me to think that people out there will get a false sense of security from learning this BS parading itself as Ju Jutsu.

  • I kinda agree and I kinda disagree.

This is definitely NOT brazilian Jiu Jitsu. BJJ wouldn't be using standup techniques and joint lock them to the ground. BJJ is all about newaza part of Judo. BJJ is all about takedowns and then ground flow. This might not look like JuJutsu you might've taken... because this might be a different ryuha.

  • Yes you make a good point and you might be right. But then it would have to be a watered down sorry version. As you already know, Jujutsu is a term used by Japanese military historians to describe combat arts that were practiced primarily by the samurai. In the 17th and 18th centuries there were some 750 styles of Jujutsu. Today there may be half a dozen of the old combat styles (called "ko-ryu") still actively taught in Japan. I only know of one that is taught in America.

  • this guy is perfectly correct

  • lmao it is Ju Jutsu , the 2 ppl that are fighting have shodan belt...

  • To Tu23ZS1V:

    No. It's not.

  • While watching this video I saw that this ain't jujutsu and I know this because I'm training it for about 5 years, before that I wa training jujitsu...and it's a big difference....once again, this video isn't showing jujutsu.

  • To gottschee3: You are exactly correct! Anybody else out there who might want to can go to chikaraken com and read the info about true Ju Jutsu

  • @ToneKingGuitarMan

lol. your site is a site for ninjutsu not for ju jutsu. also bujinkan is consisting only of 2 ninpo schools and 7 samurai schools, so it's not pure ninjutsu.

  • When at the site, click on the Ju Jutsu link to check out the Ju Jutsu dojo and not the other side which is the Ninjitsu dojo.

  • @gottschee3

it's called ju jutsu. also known as german ju jutsu.

  • To Gottschee3: You are exactly correct, this isn't Jujutsu at all.

  • actually jujitsu is just jujutsu misspelt, the japanese to not have the sound 'i' anyway, it is pronounced as an 'ee' sound. the face that you trained at two different clubs is the reason the art was different, nothing to so with the name.

  • 1:25-1:27 Was best!

  • 1:22 LOL!

  • marilyn manson

  • Nice moves at 1:17-1:20

  • da easiest look sometimes better^^

  • Watch me rickard lindgren ju-jutsu in german open :D :)

  • leute, könnt ihr mir sagen, was effektiver ist zur selbstverteidigung: ju jutsu oder wing tsung?

ich will nämlich auch mit kampfsport anfangen

danke für eure antworten im voraus

  • @mamboyer

    ju jutsu

  • f*cking nicee==> min 1:21

  • not realistic self defense unfortunately... but excellent demonstration of traditional ju jitsu... and very well practiced.

  • @AlphaFuryan What are you talking abut? I've been doing ju justsu 4 years and this is one hell of a self defense art. It's one of the best arts ever I love it.

  • @AlphaFuryan Its very realistic, I practice Jujutsu and this is only a handfull of things we train. We are able to fight 8 people at the same time and use many different weapons. This WILL save your life and others too.

  • @ARKSN1PER I agree, it's incredibly realistic. Thank goodness my dojo trains well (i'm sure yours does too). It's saved my life twice, and I'm eager to grow and learn more. Keep training, God bless.

  • @AlphaFuryan

    @jonas770

*sigh* Well, it was good enough for samurais, police, military and mma-tournaments, but if youtubers say it's not realistic self defense, then I guess I won't start training ju-jiutsu.

  • @FranzZdyb wtf do it its the best been doing it for years , only idiots think you can't translate it into street fighting.

  • @crazyredneckwifknife

Heh, yeah I know (forgot that irony doesn't work on the internet). The only thing I have a problem with is that there is no full-contact, but I'm definitely checking it out.

  • @FranzZdyb

You are clearly someone who does'nt know what you are talking about. UFC fighters do not train "ju-jutsu", they train BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-jitsu) and all its variants. Totally different. Traditional Japanese Ju-jutsu is what Judo derived from. JJJ is full of unrealistic techniques that look great doing a live demonstration with a non resisting opponent. This system falls flat on its face vs someone who A)resists and B) only has basic understanding of grappling

  • @1985DangerZone

I know that UFC fighters train mostly in BJJ. I've trained MMA. JJJ and BJJ are 80 % the same (that is taking into consideration the different schools of JJJ). The JJJ-traning I know is with fully resisting partners in grappling, but not full-contact striking. Frankly, it seems that it is you who should read up a little, before presenting your opinion as irrefutible fact.

Last of all, there is a reason why they call this a "demonstration".

  • @FranzZdyb What do you mean "mostly" ? They only train BJJ or submission wrestling. Nobody trains JJJ. Theres a reason for that.

"JJJ and BJJ are 80% the same" Where did you pull this figure from?

JJJ is full of moves and holds that have more place in WWE than in a street/cagefight.

JJJ schools are belt factory mcdojos that you pay to get each succesive belt. The emphasise is on how many classes you've attended and the fees you pay combined with performing silly katas. Its horse shit

  • @1985DangerZone

That figure was just my estimate, but I could quote many moves that exactly the same in both. BJJ has more emphasis on groundfighting, JJJ has more to do with locks, chokes etc.

I won't bother arguing against the rest of your comment, it's a waste of time for obvious reasons.

  • @FranzZdyb

Yes of course there are moves in JJJ that are in BJJ.

"JJJ has more to do with locks, chokes etc" are you kidding? BJJ has no striking in it, BJJ is ALL locks and chokes.

Mate you actually talk utter shit.

"I won't bother arguing against the rest of your comment, it's a waste of time for obvious reasons." - And what reasons are those? Sounds to me like you dont want to continue to argue with me as you're wrong and I'm very good at highlighting the fact you are a moron. Shhhh

  • @1985DangerZone

Where do you get this shit? Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is derived more from Judo than from JuJutsu, early BJJ people came from Judo, which is why its nor much more practical than something you take when you already take another martial art. it is worse than useless beyond that because it teaches you to wrestle people to the ground, not ideal.

Unless a place meets other criteria of a mcdojo, that fact that your pay for the test is not buying a belt, and they can (and do) fail people.

  • Comment removed

  • @cannabischarlie

    Listen here "Cannabis Charlie".

Im not going to bother even trying to argue with you. The shit in Ju Jutsu is just unrealistic and doesnt work in a real situation. You cant just grab peoples wrists and flip them over onto their back to disarm them with a knife, it doesnt just work like that. Trying to argue with people who believe traditional Martial Arts work is like trying to argue with crazy cultist religious people, almost impossible! You're a mad fanatic

  • @1985DangerZone lol, I see u are still at it. I guess the U.S. Marine Corps are crazy cultist religious people too? :) Did you bother to google their Close Combat manual? It is almost entirely JJJ. You don't seem to understand that real world conflict usually doesn't flow the way you see it in events like UFC. It often starts with subterfuge and innocuous grabs and ends with explosive, fully committed attacks; which is rare to see with pro fighters as they know how vulnerable it makes them.

  • @1985DangerZone the reason you see people flip over from a wrist lock is because the uke knows what is coming and its the safest way out of the technique. To the average attacker who doesnt expect it, they will get their arm/wrist broken and fall to an embarrased heap on the floor.

  • @1985DangerZone i will admit that some of the techniques are only for show but i have been doing jujutsu for 26 years and it has saved my life 7 times and all the techniques i am tought are designed to beat a resisting opponent it is actually amazing what little strength is needed to beat a much stronger opponent you have to try to believe

  • @jujutsu6464 all jujutsu schools are different and are run diffrently but out of the 6 martial arts i have black belts in jujustu is the best and most successful well at least the systum i train is

  • @AlphaFuryan that is partly true ive trained ju jutsu and sure you cant use all of it in real life but you can use about 40 % of what you learn in ju jutsu

  • @Xaeleep I agree with your comment... My comment was about the video... lots of moves they are doing in it are borederline demo stuff... more acrobatics then realistic self-defense... but used in different fashion they could be effective on the street...

  • this is WING TSUN

    not jujutsu

  • no its not

  • WING TSUN....hahahahahahahahaha... moron

  • @03sinan03

    troll

  • Nice...

  • I see excellent ju-jitsu students. Keep it up guys.

  • Wuaah : D Ich glaub ich geh in Ju Jutsu :D Ehm, ne Frage, was ist härter, Ju Jutsu, Judu... ? Außer Kickboxen ( :

  • hmm also kickboxen is nich so "hart"..

  • Ju-Jutsu rules!! :D

  • what is that girl at the rigth doing there???

  • Damn, now THAT'S some legit jujutsu.

  • At 0:14 I learned that move in Chinese kenpo! just had to point that out for some reason. lol.

  • LOL

  • judo is a form of ju jutsu judo was made because people where dieing when training in ju jutsu, so they made judi however judo has become more deadly not jj and judo are both deadly

  • judo was created because of a decline in interest in jujutsu. not because ppl got killed practicing jujutsu lol read the book "kodokan judo" by Jigoro Kano himself.
