This reminds me of back in the day when me and my old friends would go explore our quiet neighborhood at night, (we had a trailer in the backyard so we could sneak out on sleepovers) then go back to our base and play Digimon games.

Isn't it amazing how a simple background piece from a game can evoke such memories? Where has the time gone...

@StephanoRW Unfortunately, the Digimon World series has not exactly received critical acclaim like Pokemon has. Hence why you only see them on DS. That's not to say I wouldn't love a Digimon world game to come to the new gen consoles but frankly, I doubt it will happen at this point in time.

Time has passed just too fast,I'm not the kid who used to play this game anymore,but this will always be my very favorite Digimon World game,and this "File City (Night)" will always be the most soothing song ever made for a city...Sadly they changed Digimon World games so much until they fell in a total disaster as "Digimon World 4",I'm sure that Digimon World would have been a very famous game today if they had kept the same game system used on the first game..Too bad the game was never remade

That's what made it so unique from Pokemon in my opinion. How you raise(d) a Digimon affected what it turns into. No game out there has that sort of schematic, though raising Chao in the Gamecube Sonic games came close.

I bought Digimon World 4 and it was like Champions of Norrath without the blood, or the customization, and the characters and dialogue (even the plot, really) are all childish. Worlds 3 and 2 were plain ol RPGs.
