  • OMG that's Adam Perry at the end! He's in Anything Goes right now!

  • Wow that was brutal and very much over singing. I can't get over her plastic surgery. It was just OK. The performance was so over-the-top and frozen. I didn't get anything from it.

  • Excellent.

  • This is Diana Morales for real. she is so fresh and authentic. She almost cries during the applause! I wish her the best.

  • this is amazing

  • anyone else feel like there's nothing Puerto Rican about her? not to say she's bad but it's kinda an essential part of the character she's leaving out I think.

  • She's so cute! I wish they had slowed down the tempo, however, or followed the much-better arrangement used in Lea Salonga's outstanding rendition.

  • I like this tempo, her eyes are amazing by the way! So white, large, and doe like! Jealous.

  • I like her! But her forehead doesn't move at all -- too much botox, lol!

  • @af2un Most likley just the lighting

  • She is so amazing, it kills me! She really makes you believe what she's saying! That always a plus for me. :-)

  • Wow!

  • The tempo of this version is way to fast.

  • If I put a melting ice cream cone on a tshirt and the word "nothing" think anyone would get it?

  • @CarolinePar lol DO IT! all us theatre geeks will get it lol

  • This song sums me up. I've quit my Performing Arts course this year. Just wish i was good. LOL.

  • love love love the last moment with the applause.

  • I adore the way she sang this song :) It's so beautiful

  • I LOVE HER!!!!

  • her voice is purely beautiful.

  • I love this performance. I think she absolutely nails this song.

  • **dilmount

  • @danefritz2006 noooo Maureen!!! ooooor Millie dismount!!

  • i love how at the end when she gets tons of applause, she tries to stay in character but instantly starts tearing up :)

  • She did a good job! :)

  • All they are tremendous...you see richie...super...than you see Val.... fantastic...Cassie......awesome.....Paul... hearthbreaking...when you think nothing can be better...you see Nataiie Cortez....Jesus Christ were all those people were hidden?

Michael Bennet must be proud of those Revival's people

  • Am i the only one who heard the fart at 1:46.......?

  • ahahahha shes so funny!! i love her!

  • This girl is actually fantastic. I really appreciate that she's acting the song, not just singing it. And whoever is commenting on her face, she has really strong features and it seems like her face just naturally doesn't move that much... the acting and her vocal movement cancels that out though. So it really doesn't matter. Good job Natalie!

  • 3:12!!! XD

  • do i hear a future ELPHABA!?!?!?!?!? i hope so

  • did she originated this role in the revival??

  • @MTLahver1318 yes, she did

  • @showfreak101 It's so weird. It doesn't sound like her in the recording. Thank you! :)

  • fabulous.

  • you are great girl wow , loved

  • Dear Natalie. Just wonderful. Congratulations. One of the best renditions of this song & role I've ever heard and saw. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.

  • I love how she has to fight back tears at the end! :')

  • i simply Love her I wish the mexican performer would be that good

  • amazing!!!

  • She's good! Her face, strangely, doesn't move, however.

  • She's so funny and likeable! The execution of this scene can be much improved, though. Look at the liberty and pizazz by which Lea Salonga ("Nothing - Lea Salonga") performs this number!

  • She has a BEAUTIFUL speaking voice, but a SQUEAKY singing voice!

  • AMAZING

  • I love when the audience can't wait to applaud! Gets me all giddy!

  • I met this lady! She's so amazing! she inspired me to pursue my dreams!

  • Excellent, beautiful and simply amazing. No words can express how wonderful this woman sings. Would have loved to see this live.

  • Natalie is so amazing ((:

  • that was AMAZING!! but does anyone know the song the guy is singing at the end??

  • Natalie's mother is a good friend of mine in Tampa, and I'm still just sick that I didn't get the chance to see this performance live. It's one of hte greatest shows EVER produced, and this was an incredible cast for this remake. Brava! Natalie.

  • I. LOVE. HER.

  • Comment removed

  • you can tell that she's about to cry from the joy of the audience's reaction but she's trying to hold it back.

  • shes so amazing live. i cant even describe it.

  • love it!

  • I really liked this. I have to learn it for a music/singing/performance exam. She has inspired me!!

  • WOW, shes got the face and the feeling behind it!!!

  • I don't think I will ever get why there's 7 thumbs down on this video. Those people clearly clicked the wrong button.

  • @HSMTSLover Maybe because the video and sound is not that good.

  • where is the video of her in west side story.??.she is the best..saw her last night!!

  • @mellysilver I saw her in West Side Story too!

  • @wbfnyc i hate th her face doesnt move...beautiful voice but the face...and it looks dubbed!!

  • Her face doesn't move!!

  • she's bloody good

  • so much love for Natalie Cortez.

  • THIS IS BRILLIANT! she is amazing!

  • the song the woman the show has allowed me to feel nothing and not be guilty

    thank you natalie

    savannahmama

  • OMG she is AMAZING! is she on broadway or something?! she needs to be!

  • @earlhaven This is Broadway :)

  • What a knockout performance! Unbelievable. She nailed it.

  • We just performed this play for our theater class...I played Richie Walters ^.^

    Also, Natalie is wonderful here.

  • Wow!! What a knockout performance! Bravo!!

  • Does anyone know why this role wasn't highlighted in the documentary Every Little Step? Was she precast?

  • @uhalcje because this is in the middle of hello twelve and they only mentioned that was alot of peoples stories put in a song

i was confused too why they didnt touch on it

  • LOVE THIS! she was the original on broadway!? rite?

  • @actyartde12 she was the original for the revival...if that's what you mean:]

  • Can I have her voice?

  • Such a great song... with the perfect actress to play the role!

  • her voice is justt SOOOO powerful!!! OMFG!!!!

  • BTW thanks so much for this important character study!

  • OMG Natalie is the best Diana!

  • This is a marvelous performance!! I would have loved to see this live! XD

  • im doing this for my final in drama TOMORROW ahh i can not live up to her :( she did amazing :)

  • This is the song I'm doing for my theatre class :) I love it<3

  • i always liked this song a bit, but diana was never really a favorite character of mine in any older productions. natalie was AMAZING in the revival, sold the character on a level i'd never seen before. watching so many of these great clips is really making me want to see it with a brilliant new cast on broadway again.

  • A great song and an amazing performance. She gave it everything, but managed to stay so relaxed, even at that tempo. Impressive.

  • Beautiful, beautiful performance, but for god's sake BACK THE CAMERA UP A LITTLE. theatre isn't meant for closeups. She's giving a full body performance and you missed it, and the video is worse because of it.

  • I know she felt that feeling when you're on stage

and the audience applauds and your in the middle of a scene finishing your song or monolouge and its like a wonderful feeling. Well I almost lost my feeling for acting period for like a month and oddly this video i have seen dozen of times made me belive again and made me not feel "nothing".

  • gosh that's fast!!! the version i saw was slower, must be tough at that speed

  • I´v worked with her !!! :) She´s amazing..love her !!

  • She is just so amazing with this song! Totally breathtaking! My favorite by far!

  • Comment removed

  • @Bootzex101 this is BROADWAY. that's as 'professional' as it gets.

  • Fantastic! I loved the humour that she managed to work in to it. Loved it!

  • I had watched a lot of "Nothing"s but this one is my model! I love it! Awesomeee!

  • AMAZING!

  • Love her!

  • I'm doing this for solo musical theater in speech. I have watched a bizzilion videos of this song but this one is my favorite. She is AMAZING.

  • Loved it. Beautiful.

  • meravigliosa!!!!

  • Amazing!!!!!

    Me encanto!!! Felicidades!

  • lea salonga version is more enjoyable and very candid .she is not forcing the lyric unlike natalie but jesus miss cortez is really beautifull

  • @jakengabataniperla I agree. But of course, I'm a huge Lea fan! lol. But I really liked this version too.

  • ah natalie, youre amazing!

  • Brilliant performance!

  • she is absolutely amazing. i idolise her!

  • OMG I was searching for AN HOUR for a good audition piece, and THIS IS THE ONE!!!! Thank you so much for having such a good quality video!!!!

  • This performance blew me away. She really nailed the number. Bravo!! Thanks for posting.

  • She's great!

  • Here's a tidbit behind this song.

    Mr. Carp committed suicide.

  • I love when she say "You're on a bobsled" etc. she does that characteristic acting teacher body language

  • amazing.

  • I love this. Brava Brava

  • She is absolutely exquisite. This is probably the only song that is better in the revival.

    Fabulous.

  • wow

  • lol, i sang this song without a mic for an audition, and got the lead! this somg pays off if you know it well!

  • she's really goood!!!

but whats really bugging me is; where is her mic ..? its sad i know, but its eating me alive! no its not.. but where is it?

  • ehm.. thats reeeeeeally not true.. :P a bway theatre is huge.. you have to reach like 2000 people and overpower an orchestra with just belting...? dont think so. and i found the mic, its in her hair ;) check 4:19 to 4:24.

  • actually her mic is at the top of her forehead hidden in her hair.

  • Comment removed

  • @EliseWhatever her mic is on her head its running thru her hair and when it gets close up at the end, you can see a little circle where here hair parts (where a widows peak would be) its there.

  • amazing..it made me cry. ughhhh she is so good!!!

  • is morales the lead?

  • No one is really the lead. If you HAD to say, it would be Cassie. But Diana gets 2 AMAZING songs. It's very much an ensemble piece.

  • OH see i love some songs so i didnt really know the play well (: so thnx :D

  • no, not really

Chorus line is about 17 people who have made it to the "finals" in an audition for the chorus line

throughout the whole play they are talking to the casting director

they stand in line and he asks them questions about their past

most of their questions are answered in a song (like this one)

she is one of the 17 auditioners

  • Comment removed

  • I'm confused

what did I say that made you respond to my comment?

  • Excellent. I really really loved her performance!

  • her facial expressions are PHENOMENAL

  • you could tell how sad she was at the end because it was the final preformance

  • OMG what an amazing performance!

  • she's incredible :)

  • stunning.

  • i think the speed of this is perfect! this song can drag if its too slow... this perkiness is captured at this speed... and she still maintains the emotion!

    awesome!

  • Okay, emotion came toward the end. She should really have slowed down in the beginning. Good overall.

  • Why is she singing so fast? Where's the emotion?

  • the band control the tempo, not her

  • Not true. The singer always controls the tempo. The pit follows.

  • the tempo was already set before she started singing... she just joined in with it

  • Of course...it's a vamp. But that's not the pit setting the tempo. That's the conductor anticipating what the tempo will be. They still follow the vocalist. Vocalists always set the tempo with a live accompaniment.

  • No, I'm sorry that's not always the case. Trust me! I've been doing this for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

    :-)

    :-)

    :-)

  • I think it's a bit fast too - but she is phenomenal!!!

  • ahhh she is amazing

  • too fast, but so amazing!

  • AHH She is AMAZING!!

  • ahhhhhh i love singing this song!

  • Yeah... it's WAYYYYYYYYYY too fast.. you're right.

    (But she still rocks!)

    <3

    :-)

  • Love the show. Sounds too fast though.

  • Such an iconic song and role - AND SHE NAILS IT!

  • How did she not even get a Tony Nomination?

  • great performance! 3:10

  • I saw the show when it was previewing in San Francisco, and I remember her standing out above everyone else. She really stuck in my memory. Love her!!!

  • I cant get this song and her out of my head now.. hope to see her in something big one day.

  • ummm, I just got chills!

    This is just fabulous!

  • Best Diana EVER!!!

  • nah

  • Whoah, I loved Gabrielle Ruiz on the tour, but after watching this video....Gabrielle has nothing on Natalie.

  • Wow...that video made me cry.

Closing a show like that is the absolute worst, most incredible feeling.

    Natalie is SO talented!

  • She's so good and beautiful.

I love that she does'nt have to move very much and we get what she means.

    Very nice voice.

    She's perfect.
