@DBZGTNOA3 In the manga Kaori serves as Tetsuo's servant. Tetsuo likes her, then one of the traditional 'screw boss imgonna be king' subordinates shoots her. Tetsuo tries to bring her back to life and fails, and the stress becomes one of the reasons he loses control. It's actually a fucking story. Here, no shit, appears twice and suddenly crushed by fat :(
@Mutank97 it is different from the manga, but it still works well. it shows tetsuo is truly overcome with the power. he can't even stop it killing the one person, other than perhaps kaneda who he cared for. thus is the tragedy of tetsuo.
@deadguynumbr6 lol I saw it when I was 5. I didn't understand what was going on enough to be traumatized, though my sister (who is 2 years older) says that she had nightmares for a week
ive been reading the akira manga to all of OdachiBladeRebirth's akira music videos!!! i always watched the movie and then just decided to finally read it and its WAAAAY BETTER so far. Thanx so much for da music :P .... and ur welcome for like 100s of views lol
@tokyorider2019 To me, some of the soundtrack is just as powerful without the visuals, like 'Kaneda', 'Winds over Neo-Tokyo' and the melodic percussion parts of 'Tetsuo'. This one, while being good, is infinitely more strong and scary with that scene. Much like 'Doll's polyphony'
KAOH-REE HELP MEEEE

All I have to say Tetsuo's girlfriend should not have died by her boyfriend that way. Poor girl she did care for him. :(

Was the mutation scene all CGI or was that all cell animation?
goldensolder44 3 weeks ago
@goldensolder44
There isn't a single CGI scene in all of Akira.
The entire film is cell animation.
Tenchinow 2 weeks ago in playlist Favorite videos
@Tenchinow The only CGI used in the entire movie is the hologram the doctor uses to measure Tetsuo's psychic abilities, but that's it.

I remember the first time I took a glance at Tetsuo's mutation scene as a child. Oh, God! I had nightmares of Tetsuo consuming me in his flesh.

This was my personal OST from the movie.
Sounds strange, but has kind of a cool beat to it.

Because it has to be said at least once every time this song is posted:
