The first 3 Secound's is the Most important, not 20 secound's. I can get what information in the first 3 secound's. WTF, Old school Talking to the prospect, respect is most respect.
Thank you for this video. I have sort of trial/training thing for a telemarketing position coming up and I will definitely use these techniques and see how it works out. :) And I also wanted to say to people bashing salesmen. Sometimes you just don't have a choice. It's either a dales job or no job, and I'd choose the one with an income any day.
Can I start a call like this.... Hello Ms. JM.... I'm calling to enquire if your staff could benefit from our staff development services? Is there anything about human communication between your staff which frustrates you?
@D300able You need to be able to tell them what the benefit is for them. It doesn't have to a percentage or ratio, but you need to clearly tell the prospect what is in it for them.
I mean, if you are selling a service, what is the value to the client? Why should they deal with you in the first place? Versus your competitors.
so you start with a closed question still? poor, should start with an open question to build rapport the you will pull information without customers knowing then tailor what your selling into what you've learned! I think if i used your method people would simply answer no! Open questions/statements would be more along the lines of, "tell me about your operating systems at the moment?" "tell me about your situation!?" dont rush into a direct question where you're trying to rip every piece of info
@VanConversion I noticed that as well. However the rest of the information is good. Instead of saying " May I ask you a few questions.....?" Why not just ask your first question.
Like you said, we're trying to build rapport so jumping to "tell me more about your operating systems at the moment?" They may feel that you haven't yet earned a right to that level of info. But I agree that it's better than a close-ended question. BTW, I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm trying to figure it out.

@ALEKSHINE1927 -- Why so much anger? All you need if you're not interested in something is to say, "No thanks." If you're that ready to flip out on somebody, you're definitely not "in the driving seat" or in control of the situation.
I was feeling very close to giving up cold-calling, but this video has made me rethink what I was doing and the tips make a lot of sense. Great video.
I am beginning a campaign to sell my web design services to local businesses. Could anybody please suggest an opening script for me to use please?
I am thinking something like:
"Hi this is Andrew from Web Clinic...
We have a range of services that help businesses get more traffic to their websites and also make their websites more effective.
Could I ask you a few questions to see if there might be a way we could help your business?"
Also how do we find and get to the decision maker?

Sales people ultimately have no interest in their customers or well-being, but only temporarily feign such interest in order to close the sale.
No doubt some of these tips work but like all sales techniques they are manipulative.

The recomended script is way too long winded. Better to ask the right questions and get the prospect talking

It's easy to deal with sales people if you follow these tips
1.You're in the driving seat so you control the situation
2.Turn the tables on them and fire question after question never giving them enough time to answer
3.In a controlled manner tell them to FUCK OFF
or
3.Put the phone down
If it's face to face then use the most effective self defence technique you can master then run away....
