Hi Anthony, seems the Medici's are a very musical bunch. I have been a fan of your uncle Robert for many years, first saw him in New York at the Ritz with John Cale.
He stole the show. I hope you get to work with him one day. You would both be better for it I am sure. Thanks for responding CS
Not only did Polyrock, Two Yous, et al come from this band, but the phenomenal drummer Robert Medici got his start here too. He went on to record and tour with John Cale, Lou Reed, Karla DeVito, Klaus Nomi, Holly Vincent, and I think he did some work with David Bowie. I saw him with an incredible blues guitarist named John Campbell that died way too young in the the early 90's and he even played drums on the first two Five For Fighting CD's. Truly an amazing drumming talent, where is he now??
Wow what great words. My name is Anthony Medici and Robert is my uncle. Its great to see someone with interest in him specifically. Unfortunately he is not as active in the music business these days as he was. Although everything you said is true of his achievements. I am a 21 year old aspiring musicians myself and would love to record with my uncle one of these days coming up. Anyways, thanks for the interest! This was very fun band indeed.
Great NYC band...they olny lasted a short while ,however the bands that came out of the members were all good ...such as Polyrock,The Two Yous,The Dance and the most famous Gregory's Funhouse
