If the bike is so easy to ride, WHY do you need an electic motor and batteries?!
3 to 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS?! I can buy a Schwinn diamond frame bike at walmart for $200, do the math, the time you save by going a little bit faster is NOT worth FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS that you spent on the bike.
first off get your panties out of a bunch it was a joke and this thing keeping up with a gxr600 id love to see that and second batterys are just as bad as gas yea let some batt acid leak out and see how helpfull that is and people are sending jobs to china because a majority of americans are to lazy or dnt want to do jobs they actually have to work at and ill put up because i help protect your ass so you have the right to say this so thank you
these people are retarded. "i can easily out-run a car" what happens when you get past 10 mph and your stupid bubble shield thing starts floppin around and crap? and i like how the guy pulls up all BA in his cheetah helmet. look out hyabusas. theres a new kid in town.
ever tryed just leaving the bike alone? you'v tamerd enuff with everything else making it "greener" the bike is the most eco friendly thing out there apart from walking, i my self am a biker, and am very pasionate about bikes, altho i do extreme biking this will still effect me in the long run and soon, bikes like mine will be gone and replaced with theese horrible road bikes wich make more carbon footprint than the originals ever did!
in a bicycle the only engine you have to provide you motion, it only dies when you die and its very efficient for the porpuse it was made for.YES IT'S YOUR MUSCLES! and to keep then running and working you only need to feed yourself (something that you already do) theese kind of engines improve themselfs each time you use them and they tend to get more and more efficient each time you use then, its very simple efficient system because IT's NATURE MADE!!
I have a Mini 40 Mile Busettii bike and it runs 50-55 miles on one battery charge. I also tried my friends Vortex Mountain bike by Busettii. It ROCKS ! Can get up to 32 mph top speed, and on one charge that bike set the new record of 86 miles. Hope it becomes a big hit. In California many people like Busettii because they cost around $1700 but can go 50--86 miles on one charge depending on model. Maria in Cali

Maintence of the ICE car. Oil change every 3-5K miles, every 2 years you are supose to change out your coolant ,refueling regularly, inspection or brake tag, bleed brakes yearly to remove any water. Air filters are to be changed at certian intervals wiper blades every 6 months tires every 25-75K miles. Transmission fluid is to be changed around 75K miles so are the spark plugs and wires. I am sure I am missing some components. Then insurance BLAM that is exspensive. This machine cuts most of this
A hundred a year for transportation is almost free. Consider this you are not mandated to insure this by law you save over $1k right there then there is the fuel savings sure it is not as good as a real car but it beats just a bike for those of us that are aging and injured. The batteries can be recycled so it is a green machine also you add a solar panel to the top possibly tow one on a one wheeled trailer and you have a ride that runs on sunshine.
I invented a breakthrough energy source which violates the law of energy conservation. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena which violate the law of energy conservation (and also experimental evidence of such phenomena). Making a 6 kW generator will cost $1200, value of the energy produced yearly $5400, zero operating costs. I am looking for $300 000 for a prototype and for $3M for patents.
I generally agree w/mewfushisdad. however, the manufacture of a car's components (mining, molding, etc) use up around 90 BBl of oil. This can't compete with a normal bike in terms of carbon footprint, but if somebody takes a car off the road and uses this for getting around, the planet is a better place. I'd prefer everyone move to normal bicycles, but I'm okay with these as a 'baby step' toward that goal.
With all those batteries that have to be produced and then discarded when they finally die, what is the real carbon foot print of this electric, recumbent moped?
Your talking to the wrong person about buying a car.
My primary means of transportation for my two kids and I is a bicycle built for three(Triplet) or a bicycle built for two Tandem depending whether I'm riding with one or both.
My next new "car", due in the next few weeks is a human powered Velomobile Quest. Possible the most efficient means of human powered transportation ever created.
From my perspective this so called "better bike", this electric moped has a huge carbon foot print.
@MewFushisDad Compared to a car this is far better than anything else. I have an electric bike but sadly I can't even ride it due to my hip hurting post backsuegery. Some one like me might just have to turn to the recumbent bike since it has a traditional seating. IDK what it is with my back I might be forced to get rid of all my bikes. I go riding my pedal asist electric bike and I cant set my left leg down if I do I fall over in pain. Someone like me needs some assistance.
i built mine for 500 pounds and its 20ah 43 volt lipo with 650watt cyclone kmx kart. thats everything all in price, second hand where i could. electronics all new.

Yeah, but every time you buy a car, how many hundreds of times larger is your carbon footprint?
Think...
What does 1 bike weigh... Now what does a car weigh?
You do the math!

Your right.
But if compared to a car, it's a toothpick.
A car is a dinosaur.
ytuber28341 2 years ago
That's a great way to describe a car but as an old friend of mine use to say, "cars are like a hog on ice" going no where.
By riding a bicycle I figure I save by not driving enough to make 3 to 4 mortgage payments a year.
MewFushisDad 2 years ago
I agree.
I have a car. It is not new. It is a small car, used, good shape, single owner, & $2,200.
I would never go for new & waste 18 to 100,000 just on a car!
I also have an electric scooter, & a bicycle that I use either or for small trips around town.
ytuber28341 2 years ago
It is possible to recycle batteries. I'm not sure if the U.S. has the facilities but I know its been going on in Europe for a number of years.
