Rusell Crowe's gone fat as hell!

He has always gone from extreme to extreme. He puts on lots of weight - 50/60 lbs - and then losses lots. It's very bad for your long term health to keep doing that. Crowe has said very recently that he's never going to put on extreme weight for a role again. He said he was "disgusted" with himself when he looked down and saw his gut hanging over his jeans.

He was a bit on the heavy side in Gladiator too, but he carries the weight very well imo.
