@TheArsushka Oh, you mean lane splitting. Well, Kawasaki Mean Streak isn't much wider than crotch rockets. I even got slightly narrower handlebars than the stock ones. So yes, I've done lane splitting a couple of times but most of the time I just prefer waiting for my turn. I'm not that busy guy anyway.
Hey man sexy bike... i got a black 1600 meanie. Just a quick question. How did u debadge your tank? Did it leave any mark or residue that would never come off? I guess i'm just afraid to try it. Also whered u get that tank bib from? i like that smooth black and i think it would compliment well.
@CountryPride09 I heated the adhesive behind the badges with a hair dryer, ripped the bagdes off cafefully, then went to work with my thumb and thumbnail. Finally used some WD-40 to get rid of the adhesive remains.
@oceanhelio Those pipes were made by Fuggin Fabrication. Unfortunately they're no longer available. I heard Fuggin quit making exhaust systems to motorcycles for some reason. Read all the comments and you'll find out what I thought about the pipes. I sold mine two years ago and bought Hard Krome straight pipes instead. Thanks for subscribing.
fuck harley from now , i m getting annoyed by this company , bikes that get much problems , all time high prices , japs are way better quality and half price.
@Larrsify No heat shields so they were hot as hell. In order to remove the right side cover I have to remove the pipes first which was quite annoying. If I wanted to access the idle knob I had to wait until the pipes were cool again. You can't adjust the idle when the pipes are hot, you'll burn your hand. If I had known those little "negative" details I wouldn't have bought those Fuggin' pipes. Now I'm more than happy with my Hard Krome Staggered Straights. Classic beefy looks with great sound.
Thanks, I'll.check it out. I hope it doesn't matter if the shocks are the same year as the bike. Sorry to ask you so many questions, I have another one, though. I noticed you have your toolbag where the regulator is and I've heard of other people relocating it to under the radiator. Do you have yours there, and did the chin fairing fit right over it? Hey, you know Thunder MFG has a big bore kit for meanies, just in case you were interested, as well as a chain drive conversion kit.
@AmericanBiker5150 No worries mate. If you're going to get the VTX shocks make sure they're VTX 1300 shocks. I've heard there has been some fitment issues with the VTX 1800 shocks. Yes, I did relocate the regulator and it is located under the radiator & inside the chin fairing. I've heard about the big bore kit but I'm not interested. If I want more ponys I'll buy another bike...
@usmc35313531 It's a Fuggin' Fabrication 2-2 Mayhem exhaust system. According to my knowledge Fuggin' Fabrication won't be making motorcycle pipes anymore.
@AmericanBiker5150 Actually the Honda VTX shocks aren't that different. They're just a little bit shorter than Mean Streak OEM shocks. Mean Streak shocks are 13,5 inches and VTX shocks are 12,25 inches. Suspension is pretty much the same. I bought them because I wanted to lower the rear end and they look so much smoother than Mean Streak shocks. I bought them on ebay. I've already forgotten the price I paid. Do not pay over $100!!! :D
That's a bad looking bike. Did you buy those spikes from a bike shop, so they already fit the fender strut covers, or did you have to find studs the same size as the bolts, then find spikes to fit the studs? I want to use them for bungees, and get rid of the stock bungee holders.
Nice MS, those are the best sounding fuggin pipes for this bike in my opinion. But I can only find one other sound clip of them , You should make a video of you riding by or taking off. im sure alot of people would appreciate that, including myself. right now its a toss up between V&H longshots and these, I cant decide.
@nyinfamous2k2 I'm very sorry, I can't make another Fuggin' Fabrication video because I sold my FF Mayhem pipes earlier this year and bought a set of DG Hard Krome 3" Staggered Straights. I've heard that Fuggin' doesn't manufacture pipes for motorcycles anymore. Too much hassle and problems so I quess they just gave up. Go for the Vance & Hines, Cobra or Hard Krome...you won't be disapointed...
man loving ur bike. just reecently got an 04 meanistreak 1600 & want the same accessories u have. whut & where did u orfer the parts frm? i need both side foot peg adjustments, swing arm chrome. rear foot peg, as well. thanx
You bike is Sweeeeet! I got an '07 with the fuggin S-4 exhaust. I'm womdering, how difficult was it to mount those headlights (wiring, brackets etc)?? Nice job man!
Awesome! I am looking to buy the same bike at the moment, who makes the front fender and the bottom chin fairing you got on? What brand is the intake? Very well done, this bike is a real meanie!
is that a Danny Grey seat? I am so up in the air on a new seat for my '07 MS. I can't decide between a Danny Grey, Corbin, or going with the pan seat. How do you like your seat? any take on the other seats?
Danny Grey "Flame" seat it is and personally I like it. Danny Grey is harder than the stock seat but you get used to it quickly. So far it's the only after market seat I've had so I cant' tell you anything about other brands. However I've heard that the Corbin seat is also very comfortable.
They are Honda VTX 1300 shocks (12,25 inches). They fit Mean Streak perfectly. All you have to do is replace the Honda shock bushings with the Kawasaki bushings.
Yes, they look and sound VERY nice. In order to remove the right side cover I have to remove the pipes first which is quite annoying. Also if I want to adjust the idle I can't do that when the pipes are hot. If I had known those little "negative" details I would have bought the "Hellion" pipes instead.
First of all Super nice machine. I just bought my buddies 04 MS. It is still winter here in the states. I like the dual headlight assembly and the license plate relocation. What companies do you reccommend that sell these products. Thanks. Nice work.
Thanks for your comment and congratulations for buying a nice bike!!! I bought the side mount license plate bracket from a local dealer. I really can't tell which brand it is. I'm pretty sure that it is hand made custom product. The dual headlight is something called "Dominator" and I bought it from England. I'm pretty sure that Dominator headlights are sold in the US too. Try Ebay. Ebay is one of the best places to buy motorcycle accessories.
Thanks alot. I'll continue my search for custom parts. I'm sure I'll eventually find what I am looking for. Maybe I can post a video sometime soon. Later.
Hi its a nice bike i have as vel a 2008 model . From vere you buyet the front modgard ? I voud like tu have one for rany days bikause the mod(shit) is stocks in the radiator and it is not healti for the bike. Sory for my english.Thenks for your ansver.
Yes I did. Basicly almost every stock part that can be replaced has been replaced with aftermarket products. New pipes, tornado air kit, Power Commander III, handlebars, risers, headlight, seat, mirrors, fenders, forward controls and matching passengers foot pegs & grips, VTX shocks, custom paintjob "sapphire black" and chrome parts all over the bike etc. etc.
I love it and the best part is you can't buy bike exactly like this from local Kawasaki dealer...
People, please do not post stupid comments. Yes, it is not a Harley and I won't be buying one any time soon. Don't need a Harley to prove my manhood. Human stupidity never ceases to amaze me. Geez...
That's one nice bike you have there sir. Ride safe my brother!
