this is family/friend-ly christmas music that DOESNT make me want to shove intricate fragile christmas ornaments up its creators ass. being that spector was a partial creator, id just shoot his christmas red blood soaked brains out through the back of his head. just as he would for a lady friend whom might happen to be enjoying the holdays with him if he wasnt already in prison. but yea, Darlene Love's got christmas' holly bells by its balls.
What year was this Darlene Love performance broadcast?
I know it's from the CBS years of Letterman's shows, because none of the NBC years (she's appeared annually since 1986) of Miss Love's performances are uploaded on YouTube yet.
I also know it's one from the 21st Century, not the late 1990's, just based on Darlene's appearance. She appeared two years in a row with the short haircut she has in this clip.
Based on what's uploaded already, this clip has to be either from 2001, 2002, or 2003.
OK, I'm guessing this clip is from the 2003 'Late Show," as 2004's performance is uploaded on YouTube and Miss Love also has a short haircut in that one. I recall she had that short cut a few years in a row.
My other guess would be 2002, based on what's on YouTube and Love's change of appearance over time.
I'm trying to collect all Darlene Love's "Late Night" and "Late Show" appearances.
According to Wikipedia the 20th anniversary tour of Nunsense was 2004, but that doesn't fit with the dates of the shows uploaded and dated on youtube as 2004 and 2005.
@thefatpriest This performance was from Letterman's 2003 show. I have a tape of many of her Letterman appearances . I just played it to verify it. Don't forget to watch her tonight.
