  • Adoptees, the other songs are being posted every few days, click on the UltravisionVideo hyperlink above to take you to them. They're very special, sacred performances.

  • Looking foward to National Adoption Month in November for all the healing tears which will flow watching Mary and Tania perform.

So, it looks to be a broadcast of the complete set of Foundling songs performed at Joes Pub earlier in the year. A great move for getting us all towards full adoption rights.

I am incredulous. What a gifted and beautiful soul to share her most personal album with the world in this way. What incredible focus it will bring to adoption issues and the adoption industry in all its forms. I can't recall such an event before. Mary blazes so many trails. wow.

  • Hi Irish

I know, it's seeped into my blood, and I carry it with me. The whole album is really worth purchasing, it is the account of Mary being left at the orphanage, the upshot of that, and later trying to make contact. But it isn't at all depressing, it just is. You're left feeling moved and thoughtful, not depressed.

She'll be in the UK/Eire soon I think, check her website. Europe is very supportive of who she is, the US seems to judge thir women performers in a quite shallow way.

it's jsut so beautiful, and tragically sad, goosebumps and more. Dutch fans say Mary's music gives them "chicken skin".

  • Oh this is beautiful.

  • Superb songwriting, the narrative progressing to the 'this is who I am, and I have survived' conclusion.

We cannot know Mary's pain, and her utter aloneness, but she does a damn fine job of dragging us closer to her.

Beautiful woman, profound wisdom, interminable strength and a lifetime of fragility.

  • what a sad and heart touching song, beautifully performed by one of my favourite singer/songwriters... thank you

  • touching song!
