@halbrd Obviously, it was patched only minutes/hours after this bug was discovered. Just downgrade to 1.6, and you can do that.

I found another bug. If you drop a tool and then pick it up again it'll break on the next use no matter how durable it still is. Can you test and confirm cause it's been happening to me

I like having every single update for each client and server in a backup. 1.6, 1.6.1, and 1.6.3 I missed completely, 1.6.2 and 1.6.4 I got the client, and only 1.6.4 I got the server. I will just use MCNostalgia to get other versions :P

The problem with notch is, that he seems to update minecraft without actually checking the update for errors, the list of bugs is seemingly endless. We can only hope that he gets some people to playtest future updates and report bugs asap.
