@JUNiORTXBOi Even if you have a Cobra from that era, the SRT8 should smoke you. A stock Charger SRT8 does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds versus 5.4 for a '94 Cobra. A regular '94 GT only does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds. So my guess is the SRT8 you "beat" wasn't really racing you.

That jeep driver didn't launch it. Seriously, those jeeps hit 60 in under 5 seconds (around 4.7 or so). That year of mustang, with the 4.6L hit it in over 5 (maybe 5.5 or so)
@40ashort Yeah if the Jeep is torque braked correctly, a 0-60 run of 4.5 is very attainable when bone stock. These are VERY quick from 0-80. From there they aren't super quick due to gears, aerodynamics and weight.
@ganzablack A bone stock Skyline would probably beat his SRT8 unless it is pretty modified. The SRT* is a fast car, but a Skyline is in a different class. And yes I also own a Charger SRT8 with over 500hp.
@pkidro Not up here at 4500 feet above sea level. the air is much less dense at higher elevations therefore less oxygen and less power. Mid to high 14's is a good time for a mustang GT here.

The mustang got what you call a holeshot win. A faster launch but a slower time with the checkered flag

From that point forward a vehicle's actual 1/4 mile time begins. So if you can react faster to the green light without starting prematurely you can beat a vehicle that is slighty quicker than yours.
