Little kids do pretend play. Little girls play with dolls. Little boys pretend to race with their hotwheels. Now, when big girls play dolls, it's suddenly wrong and mental? Why? I just bought my first reborn and really enjoy her! I've raised two sons and she is kind of like a daughter to me. Yes I know she is a doll but it's fun to pretend she's real! It's a healthy, wholesome hobby to collect and enjoy dolls. These reborns really are special--a work of art! And when I'm busy or want to focus on my other dolls, I can just set my reborn down and ignore her! Lol. I realize doll collecting is not for everybody but lots of us enjoy it.

I think that there is an distinct difference between the woman and their dolls and the men and their dolls. Some of these woman may be using these dolls to fill a void in their lives, but it comes from a tender and nurturing place, while these men are created these life size Barbie's to please some perverted need to be with a particular type of woman which in real life would be way out of their league. My Uncle is 55 years old and still plays with remote control cars on a regular basis. He takes them to public parks and people think it's cool. What's the difference between that and a grown woman who enjoys dolls? None. It's prejudice and stupidity by those who aren't smart enough to wrap their teeny brains around something this simple.
I make these dolls and i tell you that there is ALOT of hard work that goes into them! I have sold ever doll that i have made so far and if i didnt want to its not because i am nuts but because when you put so much effort into something it is hard to sell it, The people that are buying them, i would rather sell my doll to someone that is going to take care of it and appreciate it then just stick it somewhere to get dusty!
