  • Where does E= Mc^2 come from? In 1905 Einstein asked: Does the inertia of a body depend upon its energy content? The answer was: Yes, it depends on its energy E= Mc^2 So, Einstein said - E= Mc^2 comes from inertia 2 In 1928 Dirac said - E= Mc^2 comes from vacuum and can be as positive as negative too 3 Sometimes E= Mc^2 can be ‘rest’ particle and sometimes can be ‘active’ and can destroy cities like Hiroshima and Nagasaki Why E= Mc^2 is so strange ? Nobody gives answer
  • Yesterday I saw a video described about the magnetic and electric combined powered flying object that even can lift a man when connected. Why we make this as a UFO or power the planes to lower the air ticket fares for us? It is all about designs and focus.

  • SPIKE0804!TheC is for the latin word celeritas, meaning swiftness for the speed of light! IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME LOOK IT UP!OH AND BTW HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE SEEN HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS? EINSTEINS WIFE IS PLAYED BY MOANING MYRTLE AND EINSTEIN IS THE ELF FROM ELLA ENCHANTED AND ALSO FROM 2012 THE MOVIE

  • visionary's that part is cut out of the video...........

  • It is real incredible documentary.

  • go google e=mc2 einstiens big idea dvd and there you go..

  • i fell in love with this film in 5 min

  • this movie i watch over and over(got full thing on dvd) favorite movie ever! each person in this movie have done some of the most amazing acting. In this i feel each one deserves an oscar or some other higest award for helping to inspire and motivate others in pursuit of new truths to the cosmos. Also awards for picture, narration, music etc etc. May i be a part of the great circle too one day.

  • "e=mc2/Einstein's Big Idea" is that the movies name? where can i but the full thing?

  • I know the righter of this book david bodanis i was his daughters best friend if he sees this this is Reed Lancaster and i loved your documentary

  • Easily the best dokumentary I´ve ever seen..

  • einstein was an egghead and could not tie his own shoes. He tells us that nothing can travel faster than the so-called speed of light and them he mutliplies it times itself in his plagiarized equation, so that it is now exponentially faster than the limit he originally imposed upon it. It was shear marketing genius of the energy barons, war mongers and central bankers to place einstein and hawkings at the pinnacle of their system of mind control called academia. It is too cruel to criticize them

  • i can't even begin to describe how much i hate this comment...you are such a fool....e=mc^2 has absolutely nothing...fucking nothing to do with the speed of light itself

take a fucking physics class....you are the kind of person that drags down the rest of the fucking human race

  • @spike0804 The speed of light is part of the equation.

  • is the entire programme on here?

  • We watched this in Chemistry yesterday, I think you watch this video, then go to related videos and clikc on E=mc2 (partI) and then (part2) by the same poster. That should give you the entire program, which is really interesting.

  • this is so easy to understand! thank you

  • I think I saw the 2nd part of this recently in Australia, there was a scene with a girl on a boat and Einstein was talking about it. Amazing stuff.

  • Are you really the director that produce this series?

If so, good work! I found it understanding with ease and very interesting story behind it.

It was shown in Australia, but unfortunately i missed the one!

  • The narrator sounds different.

  • great

  • We just watched this in Physics class, and I have to say, I liked it WAY more than almost any other educational science programs I've watched in classes over the years. Mainly it was because the acting was actually legitimate, and it made the development of E=mc2 play out like a story, which made it so much more interesting. Thanks for posting! The Michael Faraday parts are my favorite :)

  • can you get the part with james clerk maxwell?

  • James Clerk Maxwell is not really as big of a deal person as you might think, (he was originally a mathematician , his concepts of physics were not as intriguing as einsteins'were. Maxwell is a hero for predicting radio waves, but only theoretically and mathematically(big deal)

Faraday's popularity originates from the fact that he formulated the laws of induction.

  • oh sorry ...I didn't realize or notice that you added "your"little question or comment 4 months ago from today...oops

Well anyways I said (what I said) ...

  • love it.

  • The program is awesome, but the video displayed here is poor. The picture is too dark, and it is not properly titled (pt 1 of 6?). e=mc^2/Einstein's Big Idea is a good start for the title, as it clearly identifying the exact program. This version, however, I am not familiar with. I have the NOVA/WGBH Boston DVD (which came as a 3 title, 4 disc set with 'The Elegent Universe').

  • The one with John Lithgow? Any way, do you know what the name of the song is that plays throughout the movie, the one where the violins play in a sort of hypnotic fashion. I've looked but can't seem to find it. Even went to the PBS website to look for the credits but still came up empty. Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Directorwvp2, I'll get back with you on that. I recognize the tune, but I don't know it that well. My roommate sings opera. I'll ask him; he will know.

  • Directorwvp2, I'm sorry, but my roommate doesn't know it. I was thinking of the cello in The Elegant Universe when I replied to your comment, so I don't recognize the tune, either. My bad.

  • This was an awesome video. I lost my copy when I gave up my satellite. Wish there was more.

  • i would totally appreciate it for someone to help me in finding the other parts of this video .

  • 19th century scientists like to get high,.. i think if Einstein smoked weed he would of made more scientific breakthroughs in his lifetime.

  • This is an awesome book. I loved it!

  • There's a load of stuff on the prog on the Nova website. Google Nova PBS Einstein

    Enjoy!

  • Thank you :)!

  • why so short only :(:(:(:(

THANKS I'm looking for this ALL OVER THE WEBs!

    You're the best!
