@NYC59Abby I agree. Not there's anything wrong with I Can't Think Straight, it's just that this one has more substance in a way. Kind of like Fingersmith. The lesbian storyline is present and prominent, but them hooking up isn't the goal of the story. It's much deeper.

This is such a wonderful movie. Both main characters have the best chemistry and their love is so open and genuine. I just love the gentle way they fall in love with each other. I can watch this movie many times without getting tired of it. Makes me feel in love just by watching it. By the way, the music is beautiful also.

This movie was excellent in my opinion... The chemistry between these two are so real that they don't even need to be doing anything sexual, like just staring at each other and you can feel the tension and the love...
I've watched some movies where you don't feel a sense of attraction between the two characters at all, but this one, it definitely goes up on my list of top movies... :-)

They're playing the same couple in this movie as in "I can't think straight" because the director wanted them to. Besides I think they're a good match. I have yet to see this movie but I have seen "I can't think straight" excellent movie!

The movie was really good. They didn't stray to stupid steryotypes and the ending surprised me. All I wish was Jacob and Madiline would've had an better story, but it was openended so I can imagine what I want.

this was a great movie. the actresses were awesome together, wonderful chemistry. although i do wish the ending had been slightl different, anyone who has seen it probably understands what i mean. lol

no. she doesn't decide to live at the cafe, because she said that she'll start working only 2 mornings a week. She still lives with her husband, but it's a happy ending nevertheless : she has found the courage to stand up in front of her husband, and we can guess that her romance with Amina will continue now that she's working with her :)
Ok now that I think about it, that is what she says {2 mornings a week} :-) BUT IN MY VERSION OF THE ENDING {in my love happy ending head} She left her husband and chose Amina right then and there. :-) ;-) :-)

it was playing at the Quad in NY but it's no longer there. The DVDs should be out around April of '09 but the book and soundtrack are currently on Amazon.
I drove three hours just to see this move and I can't think straight; both movies were amazing too short "in my opinion" but well made. The only thing I notice its that its not enough support, not so many people went to see it.... I don't understand why the movie is play in selected theaters instead of all :o( its sad
I finished the book yesterday because i wanted to read it before i see the movie. I've seeing this Trailer before but now that I've read the book i see it in a different way, I loved the book, and now I'm really grateful that shamim wrote the screenplay and directed the movie because I would hate to see such a beautiful story put into a bad movie which happens too often. Anyway I'm in Spain so I'll have to wait till it release on DVD :S

You can´t really compare these two movies. They are too different.
This movie kind of made a stronger impression emotionally, while "ICTS" was more of a feel-good movie. But I love them both :)

@NYC59Abby I agree. Not there's anything wrong with I Can't Think Straight, it's just that this one has more substance in a way. Kind of like Fingersmith. The lesbian storyline is present and prominent, but them hooking up isn't the goal of the story. It's much deeper.

This is such a wonderful movie. Both main characters have the best chemistry and their love is so open and genuine. I just love the gentle way they fall in love with each other. I can watch this movie many times without getting tired of it. Makes me feel in love just by watching it. By the way, the music is beautiful also.

This movie was excellent in my opinion... The chemistry between these two are so real that they don't even need to be doing anything sexual, like just staring at each other and you can feel the tension and the love...
I've watched some movies where you don't feel a sense of attraction between the two characters at all, but this one, it definitely goes up on my list of top movies... :-)

no. she doesn't decide to live at the cafe, because she said that she'll start working only 2 mornings a week. She still lives with her husband, but it's a happy ending nevertheless : she has found the courage to stand up in front of her husband, and we can guess that her romance with Amina will continue now that she's working with her :)

I finished the book yesterday because i wanted to read it before i see the movie. I've seeing this Trailer before but now that I've read the book i see it in a different way, I loved the book, and now I'm really grateful that shamim wrote the screenplay and directed the movie because I would hate to see such a beautiful story put into a bad movie which happens too often.
