One decade, rock is the most-focused on genre, then the next decade, it's pop and rap and all that crap. Rap is definitely in more of a dead or deprived state right now than just about any genre... they don't even play real rap and what not on the radio's now days. On the other hand - I do agree that todays trend now a days isn't to be cool anymore, its to be nerdy as possible. The trend sucks.
