  • Ford produced ALL HITLERS TRUCKS considered HITLERS Back Bone

HITLER had Fords Picture on his wall in BERLIN

Rockefeller gave HITLER all the OIL for WW2

All Tattoo's on the slaves were IBM Binary

BUSH was charged WAR CRIMINAL 1945 he forced slaves to make steel for HITLER

Harley Davidson produced 20k Harleys (RIKUO) to JAPS WW2 Killing USA GI's

President of Harley is a TALMUD ZIONIST antiAmerican. High Treason Traitors...

  • GM made HITLERS TANKS...

IG FARBEN Talmud Zionist NAZI's built all of the concentration camps WW2 Look at IG FARBENS Complex in Berlin. Replicated after GM Building in Detroit.

GM Produced German Tanks Killing USA GI's.

They profited by GENOCIDE, escalated WW2 for PROFIT / Commerce

  • That's why I won't buy a GM product. They STOLE US taxpayer money and invested billions of it in China. Biggest scam in corporate history.

  • Im talking about the American Indipendance adverts where the Doge charger driven by lincoln at the british Forces and they all run away..i mean..thats about as dinosaur and Anti Social to the Cause of this world as you can get! And your guys in the Bars, Loved it..its like self confession to ignorance and being a total wanker!. I guess your not being exploited then under such terms, You want to continue hitting your head against THE WALL.

  • i dont mind in protecting a market, if the market is fair and with choice, free choice. But i know, if you guys here in the states got your hands on some of our smaller Hatch backs, you would be in heaven, not only with performance and style, but with fuel economy. I wish GM would "create such a option" that competes with the Evoloution of modern Transportation and let its pride of the Muscle car gen disolve. but with the adverts during the World cup..i doubt any of you assholes feel that way

  • When you concider global war and the state of the planet now days you would think that using less fuel would be the prime objective of any super power, WRONG! according to your govenment, its to keep greedy assholes in pocket at the hands of invading other peoples countrys to stablise oil production and trade(more taxs to pay) Until eventually you will be broke, dead and with no friends....all in the face of a bunch of broken commandments, all of them. VOTE DONALD TRUMP!!!! hes the best chance.

  • ..Toyota for instance, I was expecting then to come back with some really competative models, with great gas milage and performance. People buying USA cars instead of German And Japanise..but no, they chose to just do the same thing as before under a differnet name..Bend over and take it USA. Its a crying shame when you look into importing 1.8 turbo diesels from france to descover there Trade is blocked by BENT "crash saftey test laws and Emissions.

ARE YOU REAL:Y FREE TO CHOSE USA?. con t

  • OK, First, GM is bailed out by there customers, you the tax payers. Then the germans borrow them some on some "crooked parts manuf' deal" which went to Canida in the end. SO, back on top, up and running what do GM give the USA people...The same Gas Guzzling Trash as you have been force upon for decades. Along with the same rediculas over priced intrest rates to borrow. Your being Exploited, the people. INOVATION has been replaced with Scandalous roumers of other competion..cont

  • They should of left GM to self destruct. Most of GM cars are junk and don't last.

  • Brussels, Belgium?? Oh, the US is part of the EU now?

FACT: GM sells more cars in China than all other nations including the good ol' US of A.. Dear GM, your welcome for the bailout from the American taxpayers.

  • See that was a logical and intelligent analysis. The right wing of the US would have said " GOVERNMENT SOCIALISM IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD AND DESTROYING YOUR FREEDOM, REVOLT!". no. That only works to scare people for a little while. Why can't the Us have calm rational deiscussions like this without playing partisan politics and trying to make someone aleso look bad at the same time.

  • Lets see...GM got 52 billion plus....and paid back 6.7 billion........you fill in the blank

  • GM wasn't really bailed out, it's unions were. If it were to declare bankruptcy, it would have been bought out, re-structured and been in profitable production again by now.

  • GM, like any car manufacturer, operates on small margins to be competitive.

What killed GM was not GM, Hummer HX may well have been a very popular vehicle, smaller with better fuel economy, yet with all the rugged bumps.

What killed GM was the financial melt-down. Nobody could afford to buy.

    Free marker morons killed GM..

Most striking feature of Greek economy; 30% of it's GDP is undeclared.

Greeks are calling on de regulators to go on trial there for fraud there.

  • how did free market morons kill gm? if the company hadn't had such a culture of living off corporate welfare then we wouldnt have had this problem in the first place

  • @AussiePolitics The economies which crashed were not the well regulated higher tax states in Europe.

Those that smashed unions in the 80, or replaced them with compliant shams, lost their sanity & balance.

Property price hype, sub-prime famously called "the American dream in action", trickle down,

Inequality, tax evasion, bonus robbery, corp law thrown out of the window.

It was a house of cards. the 'magic' market, some would call it scams, those with $ got what they wanted.

    profit before sense

  • you didn't answer the question. i asked how the free market killed gm like you claimed when in reality the only reason such an incompetent company could continue to exist without evolving was with government intervention.

  • @AussiePolitics Ridiculous.

Any Rand disciples got rid of regulations, that is what de regulation means, the clue is in the word 'regulation in the phrase ''de regulation',

corps employed ppl to strip Govt's role out.

Monopolies were allowed to develop, in other places they are broken up. by Govt.

Anywhere else in the world this would have been kicked in prison for corruption.

boards not answerable to share holders, corps paying bribes to cut even more controls.

    That is your free market.

  • oh i see as soon as your claim that gm was a market failure was shown to be a lie you just go into a big ideological tirade. grow up.

and for your information the biggest banks that collapsed like fannie and freddie were forced by REGULATIONS passed by congress to give loans to lower income households - the very people who defaulted on their loans and burst the housing bubble sparking this whole sorry mess.

  • He's right that GM should have been allowed to go bankrupt but he's naive to think that somehow GM wouldn't have undergone a great deal of liquidation. In the real world, markets don't perfectly work the way he fantasizes that they do.

  • gm should have died they would not learn from a bail out they brought it on them selves

  • I think he is very right, they basically interfered with market processes.

  • The smarter I get, the less I like ForaTv.

  • If GM had folded, it might have opened the market for smaller, domestic carmakers.

  • @RadarKat73080 not might have.... would have

  • @RadarKat73080 Very true. Most true capitalists would have said "let GM fail, out of her ashes will rise more efficient companies".

  • @TurboFuss1 There are no capitalists anymore, just corportists.

  • @RadarKat73080 Very true my friend. Neocons and liberals both seem to love corporatism and can't differentiate that from true capitalism.

  • @TurboFuss1 Having massive buyer's remorse about Obama, but I do realize that McCain wouldn't be any better! The current crop of GOP hopefuls scares me shitless!

  • @RadarKat73080 Haha, I tell people that all the time. Bush and Obama are the same. You're dumb to believe otherwise. I always vote 3rd party.

  • @TurboFuss1 Notice how Obama's speaking ability has gone downhill since the election? He used to give these eloquent speeches, now he seems to be almost as much a yammering idiot as Sarah Palin!

  • Its stretching but if you think of it this way... The presidential motorcade for well over 40 years as far as i know has been comprised of GM vehicles. JFK was assassinated in one. Alot of GOV vehicles are GM... Mostly Ford with police but alot is GM as well. To put it another way is, we need more than one auto empire in the USA to keep the competition fair and give off the illusion for freedom of choice. Unfortunately we owe alot of $ over seas and their cars do look and work better.

  • @VAR1UM Many of the gov't vehicles have been GM products. Many have also been Fords and some have been Chrysler. Since the 30s it has been pretty much Cadillacs and Lincolns. JFK was shot in a Lincoln. LBJ, Ford, Nixon and Carter all used Lincolns, I believe.

I agree, the gov't might do good (fiscally) to shop around more. Some local gov'ts have but the feds haven't. However, that would never jive with a lot of voters. To many it seems wrong for the prez to be in a Lexus.

  • Pretty sure Daimler GOT one of those bailouts so don't know what the heck this guy is talking about

  • This guy from Mercedes (Daimler) doesn't have a conflict of interest does he?

    Duhh??

GM was just a part of the potential job loss. What about all the suppliers and dealerships, etc. A GM bankruptcy could have been a snowballing economic disaster.

I believe most of GM's financial problems are from medical insurance & pension costs.

Of course, they should be making better cars to compete with the Japanese & Germans, which hopefully they're starting to do. If not, they deserve to fail.

  • THe answer to the title is, NO!

  • This has some merit, however the failure of GM was part of a triple whamy and not entirely GM's fault.

GM had a number of products which were genuinely good and others in development were even better. There have been huge investments in things like the Tesla.

A strategy of managed winding down and efficiency makes sense.

No need to throw a piece of toast in the bin just because it got burned on one side.

scrape a bit off, add some butter and it is perfectly good to eat.

  • @marsCubed Between a bad reputation (it takes years to build one, minutes to destroy it) from the 70s and 80s, high union costs and excessive gov't regulation, GM didn't have much of a chance. Workers in the domestic plants of the Asian and European automakers earn about half of what a UAW worker does and yet they are still just as happy. The new guy pushing a broom at a GM plant is getting $20/hr and full benefits because of the UAW!

  • @HeadTater I don't think it is really the argument.

    How we manage decline?

The days of taking an axe to a sector have got to be over.

At the very least should be thinking about what we do in terms of re-skilling and putting up new business initiatives in the areas affected.

At the other end of the spectrum we could be thinking in terms of avoiding waste through replication & market saturation.

Dumping millions on the dole also kills other car makers.. nobody can afford to buy.

    sensible steps.

  • @marsCubed What we really need to understand is that the government cannot create prosperity. Also, there is no such thing as too big to fail. It is ironic that liberal, the very people who most support Darwin's theory, will not apply it to real life.

What you are suggesting is stuff GM should have been doing. Having the same car under 3 brands makes no sense. The government should just step off and let these companies make mistakes. They will learn or die. Their choice.

  • @HeadTater Actually what I am suggesting is that the legislation put in place in the 30s to stop another crash, and removed by Regan, namely by the Garn-St. Germain Depository Institutions Act, Net Worth Certificate Program, wrecking of Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, was criminal and insane,

It allowed ranting free market hype to buy elections by setting up a house of cards.

We need properly regulated finance and sane managements.

Else the rest of us will be picking up the pieces again..and again.

  • Nth EU calls the crashed economies the "Anglo-Americans", They have been warning about this for decades.

Republican talked up Hummers and made crazy populist statements about oil. They hyped the market and saw their pals in the banking sector walk away with carts of money.

Tax evasion scams, transfer pricing, bonus-culture and a GDP which came to be measured by the size of corp yachts got back-handers to win seats in Govt.

Yet it trashed the USA and other economies.

Ask why others did not crash.

  • @marsCubed The American economy has hardly crashed. Almost all of Europe has seen similar or greater drops in economic activity in the same period as the US. Yes, the GOP screwed us over but they weren't acting in support of a truly free market. Neocons only want the market to be free when it is acting in their favor. You also seem to forget about gov't action encouraging sub prime loans and speculation. Also, complaining yachts and such, you sound like the populist.

  • @HeadTater. Since the crash other economies have slowed down for sure.

    Sweden is a good example.

Some years ago she had a very similar localized banking fail.

At that time the Govt nationalized her bank. It was regulated then re-floated at a profit to the tax payer ! !

In the resent financial melt down, Sweden's bank was un-dented. The bank was well regulated and had not embroiled itself in messy deals.

Everybody has gone down since. But that is mostly because USA is such a big market..

  • @marsCubed I am actually in the middle of a book that mentions Sweden's brand of socialism (or whatever you want to call it). PJ ORourke, in "Eat the Rich" he mentions that Sweden has crippling national debt. Yes, the US is bad, but Sweden is worse with more inflation. Sweden is also one of the few nations that has been able to make socialism "work" in any sense of the word. You forget that Sweden saw some of its greatest growth when the Social Democrats were out of power too.

  • @HeadTater, I can't post links here but there's a an article on Lew Rockwell's site about Sweden. You can google "Sweden and the Myth of Benevolent Socialism".

It's not as good as it's cracked up to be.

  • @marsCubed I can see that this discussion is headed to a stalemate. I commend you on avoiding petty personal insults since that is the way most YouTube discussions end up in my experience. I doubt either of us will concede and I also doubt that anyone else will come in and join either side. You do have good points, but we are getting off topic and I think it is best that we agree to disagree. Agree?

  • @marsCubed The problem with all these regulations is that politicians run them. When you enact that many regulations, you get crony capitalism which, if you ask most free marketers, is just as bad as socialism. You give the regulatory power to the politicians who the use it to help out their corporate buddies. The Market is not a person and cannot act in that way. The free market is Darwinism applied to economics.
