hey man do u think you could make a video about the record version? or if it's the same thing could you just tell us what the chord progression is for the other half of it (3-6 minute part)
right on brother u got some tallent fur sure. helpedme out alot, definitly wanna learn the solo! oh n i write my own music. check it out n let me kno what u think if u get a chance
Thanks ALOT Scott, great teaching "pace" and I wondered if maybe it would be possible for you to tackle "Toes" by Zac Brown Band? Cheers and Much Appreciated!
ya nice job bro! its a great song and you made that really easy to follow! just wandering if you could show how to play keiths acoustic version of sweet thing. Think I got most of it but I think one chord is off.....once again thanks dude
Hey buddy that was 1 KICK ASS lesson .u rock and nother thing nice if u could come up with the electric guitar sole bit ..awesome stuff so far..ROCK on.
Hey Scott, came across your videos the other night. You did a fantastic job on this song. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us. I vote for the solo too!!! GREAT JOB!!
Awesome! Just the kind of thing I need right now is how to accompany myself with just a guitar. Is there anyway way to approximate the solo on an acoustic?
nice ragincajun013 !! You are a good man to posting and sharing your experience and talent with all the world!! I have followed Part one and part two and all i have to say is Guitar SOLO Please.!!...when learning this kinda guitar stuff you can only get better!!!! Keep it up for God Sake's keep it up! Thanks so much Big guy!!!
uhh yeahh thank you soo much for that! keith urban is amazing and you broke it down real good. if youre actually willing to post the guitar solo at the end of the song it would be very much appreciated!
Thanks alot.....I was able to learn this in a couple of hrs. just from watching it over and over again.......Great instruction. Looking forward to more....Do you know any K. Chesney?
I am a beginner on guitar...but my girlfriend absolutely LOVES "Stupid Boy"....and after taking her to see KU in concert...I thought it'd be cool to learn to play a little of of it on the acoustic for her. Your instruction is great, and I'm PRACTICING like crazy! This is the first time that I've ever picked up a guitar....so I'm strugglin' a bit to get my fingers goin'. I appreciate this...and maybe....who knows..I could have it down for Valrentine's Day!! Thanks Again!!!
Hey, I am a real amateaur. I know a, d, c, f, g and e chords, straight strums with no capo. What does the strum sound like for stupid boy with no chord and a capo on the first fret>
real quick question, the G that you play in the drop D tuning...is the A string being barred or played at all? or is it just left open. thanks. keep up the good work. awesome playing
also i forgot, another good song if you know it would be "rainin on sunday" also by keith urban, that would also be a song i would want to add to my list of playing, idk if you know that one but its an idea, well good job and thanks for postin these videos, hope to see a solo video for stupid boy
Hey man great job with the videos, i would love to learn the lead guitar and solo as well, if you want to take the time that would be awsome. Thanks and keep up the good work.
I still cant figure out how your doing the part with the Asus, and on the intro on the "hard part" on the G string i do 2h4p4p2 if i wrote that right then on D string i do 2 4. It sounds relatively close but I cant figure out how you did that part. could you write the tablature down
First, could you please add a few more popular acoustic songs from bands like (ie. 3 doors down, Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback) they seem to use relatively easy chords, but my challenges lie in the strumming patterns and picking. Secondly, angle yourself in front of the camera so we can see exactly what strings you are playing? and Thirdly, continue to go slow...I really helps! For more of what I am talking about check out shawncheekeasy he teaches piano and might give you some great ideas
Thank you so much for your contributions to us tubers out here who need all of the direction we can get....It is very much appreciated. I have learned how to play guitar in one year solely by watching you tube videos and pulling up tabs on chordie would like to ask a couple of things of you?
Scott, thank you much young man. You've taught an old dog new tricks. I searched out all the other covers and yours is eclipsing all. Your generosity/ego, talent, is appreciated. I understand busy and you should be. If however, you could find the time to video the lead, you would make many happy, especially me. I think your history on Youtube would be positive on a resume or stepping stones to professional music. What you've done here is in great American character. Many thanks.
Hey everyone...Thanks for all the comments and messages! I am sorry it has taken me so long to post more videos...I have been very busy lately. I still intend to post the Stupid Boy Lead lesson soon, along with more instructional videos for songs that have been requested. Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned!
Thanks for all the great responses...for those of you who are interested in the lead, part 1 will be up soon. Subscribe to my videos, and it will be up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks again!
@ragincajun013 DUDE UR AWESOME ON THIS SONG. CAN U TELL ME WHERE AND WEN TO US THA B MINOR AND WEN 2 USE THE A? THAT WOULD HELP ME ALOT. I JUS USE G D AND A WITH A CAPO ON THA FIRST FRET IN STANDARD TUNING AND IT SOUNDS GREAT BUT I LIKE THA WAY U MAKE IT SOUND. :)
Hey Man, great video! It was a huge help -- Bring on the lead part video! And if you can do a video (tab) on the finger picking in Tim McGraw's "I Need You", that'd be so cool. I tried to find a tab for it on the web but no luck. It may be in an alternate tuning so it's a little too advanced for me to figure out. Thanks Again -- Looking forward to more of your video lessons!
great job on the video. im just beginning learning how to play and you did a great job and i think i'll be able to learn to play this song easier than i would have ever thought. keep it up and post anything else. great job

Very good job...we sing about the same, almost clones :-)
I do mostly 90s alternative, nut hey, new country is rock anyway :-)
Also noted you have the same issue I have on some songs, keeping tempo...note when you get to the "That's what happens" part, you slow down a bit.
It isn't greatly noticeable, but something to work on. Some songs don't work with foot tapping time :-)
Keep it up, you are a super instructor, great personality for it. Consider it for a second means of living :-)
