I have a monitor with a red pixel right in the center of the screen. I rub the panel and it disappears for 6 months then comes back and says hello. I'd rather live with a few bright/dead pixels than have to go to the effort of returning it/sending it back.

tl;dr: only wankers care about dead pixels.

People would just rather use OSX than windows. and you can game all you want on it, you just have to put a copy of windows on it. a hacked copy of course, cause I know I would never pay for it..... a legal copy will also work btw

The 17" version is also bigger, which means more ventilation for heat. A big problem with the MacBook Pro is heat, and the bigger it is, the more ventilation, which is a plus. Also, the Mac Pro is extremely powerful... and it's cheap considering the price of the Intel Xeon processor.
