@horsesareme4ever I don't like them because they put pressure on the poll, bars of the mouth and roof of the mouth all at once (more than the average snaffle) they work for some horse/rider combinations. but only if you know how to use them properly. and more than often people don't. I see kimberwicks thrown into horses mouths and kids just pull the crap out them! did you know the horses poll has more nerve endings than the mouth? imagine how painful it must be for some horses :(

don't need speed, that would probably have made it worse. speed would have messed up the stride. the problem is that she's holding onto the saddle, not the mane. wrong jumping position. that shoots your chest forward, making recovery impossible. so, when the horse went over, the girl kept going. i have a 4 year old. i've jumped jumps that high at a complete standstill. on the first jump her hands shot up the pony's neck at the base.
she just needed more impultion towarrds the fence, however, lets not be to harsh because shes obviously still learning!

she should be holding about halfway up the pony's neck on a piece of mane! this would have put her in the correct jumping position and would have given her a MUCH better chance of staying on!
Funny stuff, and all you accusing her, she obviously wasn't expecting the leap. If you've ever ridden a pony, you'll know that they don't have much neck you can save yourself on if you get off balance, unlike bigger horses.
I don't think the rider should be jumping that high. She should take it down a level. The horse didn't do anything, and even though everyone falls, she just came off for no reason really. Also the fact that she screams doesnt help. Still I'm sure shes an alright rider, just needs to take it down an a level and get a few things sorted before coming back to jumping that high. Stupid girl! She really could of got herself hurt! You DO NOT SCREAM! Also, since when was that pace going to get her over. It was ALL her fault. She needs to get teh horse more forward, use her leg to the fence, sit and and keep her mouth shut! Also, position check coming over that fence! Heels down, toes up, looks up and, for gods sake, sit up! Ok, fold when your going over, but she could easily sit that one, I'm sure.

1 move the saddle behind the shoulders of the horse
2 sit back more
3 idk for sure or not but it looked like the last canter ur horse was on the wrong lead..?
4 idk if u are already doing this but it didnt look like it, put ur knees in and heels out
