  • The auto bolt release is only 9 something bucks also

  • After this conversion, does the gun empty the mag with one trigger pull, or do you have control to shoot short bursts? All the videos show everyone emptying the mag with one trigger pull. Thanks.

  • @ZunnyONe, Thanks for the vid. I knew it had to be an easy mod. rather than buying the premade part. My wife realy likes the 10/22 now, she always hated fussing with the bolt release to close it!

  • can you do me a favor. i did this mod. and now if i wack the butt with my hand or drop from 4-5 inches on the butt. my bolt releases. is it just me or is it maybe more popular but people dont test for this after this mod?

  • I had to grind it to a curve not flat to get mine to work but still good vid thanks for the help

  • You only need a special permit to make a gun FIRE full auto. All this does is eliminates having to push the release button to chamber the first round.

Awesome I was just about to buy one for mine.

  • Now I am having alot of feeding issues please help.

  • @NeoNaziMexcanJew dude you dont need a fucking permit. at least not in my state.

  • great video accurate and works fine...thanx

  • can you use a metal file to grind it down?

  • @SkynyrdBlink yup

  • @ZunnyONe Alright cool, i didn't feel like buying a tool just for that one job i needed done.

  • @ZunnyONe does this make it full auto?

  • screw all u anti gun freeks, lawyers, laws and goverment. all u guys do is make it harder on the people trying to do right. the bad guys will have the guns and keep killng forever. love the vid. now im doing the mod and i DO NOT have any class 3 permit to do it. you dont like it, come get me!. if we make it easy for people to get guns then people will u can just scared to rob people and then all the bad guys can just kill each other and then it will b a better world.

  • I used your instructions to modify my bolt release. I have a Dremel, but used a couple of small diamond coated files instead. I didn't file enough arc into the piece the first time. After removing the piece and taking off a bit more materieal it worked great. Thanks for your detailed video.

  • Cool vid, thanks. Let us know when you get your proper permits so you can alter your bolt release with the ATF's approval. LOL

  • what song is that at the begining?

  • @stefanrocca it's a wu tang clan song, I forgot the name

  • @ZunnyONe

pretty bad joke dude lol ohwell ... find out the name of this song for me man

  • @stefanrocca hahahah its called "hermods ride to hell" by amon amarth

  • @ZunnyONe

thanks alot dude I was looking for this song for hours

  • @NeoNaziMexcanJew Any prosecutor that would press this deserves the worst in life. Cancer death pain

  • @NeoNaziMexcanJew LOL you must be a lawyer you know the law so well huh? I'm not even going to waste my fucking time with you little boy. Don't ever post your stupid shit on my videos again and as a matter of fact dont even watch my videos

  • @NeoNaziMexcanJew why dont you explain to all of us how to can be very serious to the ATF? do you think "automatic bolt release" means the gun will fire full auto? what a fucking retard, go back to your call of duty zombies and save your stupid ass comments for your parents and teachers

  • @AllGunsConsidered If you have never owned or shot the 10/22 then you probably know but to release the bolt it can be tricky with how the release lever is so this eliminates the problem, plus its just more fun to be able to quickly close the bolt for run and gun shooting

  • Oh, so basically it smooths up the action a little bit? I have been wanting to get one of these for a long time, the only gun I own is a mosin. how is it in terms of "fun factor"?

  • @AllGunsConsidered well it just eliminates the need to do 2 things to close the bolt, and I would highly recommend the 10/22 especially for fun factor, its a terrific all around .22 for just plinking or hunting (i.e squirrels, rabbits) its also a good backpacking rifle. its a proven and simple, rugged design. but if you just want it for fun you wont be disapointed

  • Oh wow, thanks for the information, I am seriously considering buying one now!

  • Nice, now we can all modify our Rugers if we ever get invaded.

  • does this make the gun fully auto?

  • @crawboseth Are you stupid?

  • Comment removed

  • @crawboseth yea, only stupid people asking questions. Just be smart and you will be OK!

We all are stupid sometimes too. . .

  • i got a pretty modified 10/22 myself, check it out on my channel. personaly i dont like an automatic cuz of cost on ammo. and its SUPER eligal here in Canada anyway

  • thanks for sharing your modification experience

  • does doing this to the bolt release make the ruger 10 22 fully auto ?

    thanks and great video mate

  • Very nice and simple video of how to modify the olt release, I have just put the trigger back together after trying to imrove the trigger pull. So after a night sleep I will definetly try this. Thanks from Norway=) keep it up. Like doing things myself.

  • Thanks for the info. Great video.

  • very fucking nice music man, Amon Amarth kicks fucking ass. Also nice video too!

  • looks like arizona there :D nice video now i don't have to buy the modified one XD

  • if u do that when u shoot will it hold back after every round

  • Awesome shit bro!!! Thanks for this. btw what song is that?

  • lmfao how bout u wrap your lips around ohhhhhhh bud,,,,,,,, that was great good vid fuck the haters.....

  • @3ald3eaver Who died & left you Dictator? obama. STFU.

  • Used your video, worked great

  • @ZunnyONe constructive critisism, dude. it was kinda harsh tho.. :P

  • @ZunnyONe well playeyd sir

  • @baggednorcalkiller if you have to ask, you probably don't know what to do to get it done legally.

  • @ZunnyONe that's what she said...lol

but really, great vid. i started at midnight and finished at 1am. with your video, this would've been a 15 minute vid, but i had to keep quiet since it's so early. thanks!!

  • Great vid. You kept me interested the whole way through. Maybe just get a little better lighting next time you do something close up like that. It was a little hard to see. But other that that GREAT!

  • I filed the heart shaped thingy down so it was flat and it worked the same way it did before. I was pissed. So I took it apart and dremeld it down some more, since i figured it was catching on a bur or something. I ended up grinding it down so much that it almost went completely through the metal. *shrugs* It went beyond flat and curved into the opposite side as it was before.

So I started to panick because I figured that I broke it, but no, it works like I want it to.

  • ejector

  • Cool video. It's awesome you did it yourself without buying the part. My only complaint is that I think you kept calling the ejector the extractor... I could have heard you wrong though. But in case not for those who don't know the extractor is the hook thing on the bolt, the ejector is the thing in the video. 5* man!

  • Hello., Do you like the Choate pistol grip stock? Was it folding when you first purchased it? I noticed you added a different folding butt on it - was that to make it fold or to make it fold better. I am thinking about purchasing the Choate folding stock from Midway USA. Could you recommend this?? Great and informative video. Thanks. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Is that a Tasco 3-9x40 Scope you have on your rifle?

  • lol.. anyways now all you need to do is show us all how to convert it full auto.. that would be sweeeeeeeeeet. but probably put your ass in prison too. so i suppose i'll keep looking myself. and dont mean mrcaf, bitch cant even spell "Caffeine" fuck that douchebaggery!

  • so is the gun auto now?

  • great video man. I have some constructive criticism though. When you're filming small things, like the hammer spring at ~2:04, you should put your hand or something dark behind the object you're filming to make it easier to see. Regardless, thank you for making this video.

  • Awesome video bro thanx. I just bought this exact gun and wondered if I could modify that stupid release.

  • Fucking awsome music!

    AMON AMARTH!

  • Hermods Ride To Hel!

  • So this makes ur gun full auto or just makes the bolt easier to use

  • It makes you a stupid dumbfuck.

  • love this gun

  • this process does work, i just operated on my own 22. the bolt only comes forward if you hold the barrel towards the sky, but overall this video was very helpful. all those who criticize the commentary, suck a nut....its helpful if you will quit bein douche bags and listen to the man

  • great vid... great explination of assembly for those who are mechanically challenged... and bald beaver is a little bitch... who would pry suck you off cuz hes a little fuckin prick like that

  • my gun never had an auto lock on it.

    why did yours?

  • so I should do all that just because you tell me to? who the fuck are you? who the fuck asked you? waht the fuck have you done? and why in the fuck does your opinion matter so much I have to change my shit over it? blow it out your ass you fucking clown

  • wow you must be five. Who curse's out everyone who doesn't like there videos. I find it very hard to give you any respect with a comment like that.

  • Your gay.

  • Childern these days. ):

  • Gay old fucks these days. :(

  • @ZunnyONe Nice video - thanks. LOL at you replies to 3ald3eaver, though he did like your video (said it was the best he'd seen, in fact). You could have just bashed him a little, though it was nice of you to comment both of his double posts. :)

  • I thought I read where new 10/22's need more that the "heart" thingy removed... true?

But anyway... thanks for the vid! I'll be doing it soon. (why this isn't the normal operation, strange)

  • If you like I can explain how to substantially lighten and smooth the trigger. I gunsmith for the local police department and 10/22's are a little bit of a hobby for me.

  • can you enlighten me on how to smooth out the trigger pull on the 10/22 pplease

  • its 8 pounds

  • explain it.

  • do i have to have the diamond tipped dremil thing?

  • nvm i did it it worked, anyway, were did u buy the outtere casing fo rthe gun?

  • @Milby20289394bc if you were 3ald3eaver you could just stick your dick in it

  • Did this last night on a brand new 10/22. works great.

  • I went ahead and did the modification with a file because I did not feel like waiting to go and get the right bit for the Dremmel and it worked like a charm. Great directions. You made it simple and straight forward. Any ideas on how to reduce trigger pull modifying the sear? I am going to shim the trigger and I'll let you know how it came out. Thanks again.

  • Unfortunately I don't know exactly how to make the trigger pull better, I haven't done any tinkering since I did this mod but from what I've read online it seems you have to rub all the contact parts of the sear and hammer with a wet stone, if you figure it out let me know because pulling the trigger on the 10/22 is more like pressing a button down on an old blender

  • Great Video. Thanks

  • ORANGE TRUCK! :)

  • Good video, but a shame I bought the part before seeing this.

  • when i put mine back together it's like the safety is stuck on... you know what the problem may be? the hammer is stuck down, and wont release

  • take it all back apart, make sure the part of the safety that is milled flat is facing straight up, as far as the hammer being stuck down just remove the pin that holds it in and the hammer spring and re-insert them
