I took structural physics during my masters coursework, and a building is so heavy that it won't just fall over sideways. Here's an experiment for you to demonstrate: Take a toilet paper tue and set it on a table vertically. You can put a fair amount of weight on it without buckling it. Now, while putting as much downward force as you can on it without folding it over, take a pen and push in on one side. See what happens (cont)

This video had me until the clip of him talking about the controlled demolition theory. That's bullshit. I took structural physics during my masters coursework, and a building is so heavy that it won't just fall over sideways. If the superstructure fails, it will collapse from the center out and in on itself. That's what they're MADE to do. I like everything else he says, I just don't think the tower 7 thing holds water if you know what you're talking about.

@basshead6949: There's a really good documentary you should check out called "Why the towers fell". It will change your mind about the idea of a controlled demolition. Here's an experiment for you to demonstrate: Take a toilet paper tue and set it on a table vertically. You can put a fair amount of weight on it without buckling it. Now, while putting as much downward force as you can on it without folding it over, take a pen and push in on one side. See what happens (cont)

@UncleDeluxe The critical failure point was near the top of the building. Everything below that was unharmed by the crash. The fires never reached the lower floor. Both towers, though they experienced different levels of damage in different parts of their structure fell pretty much exactly the same. Building have what they call sheer walls that are meant to let one part of the structure break and leave the rest of it mostly unharmed. The side of a building is not a single surface like the roll
