the cure for aids and many other diseases does exist but as i have learnt in my cell-bio class the problem lies elsewhere. The problem lies in the delivery of the drugs to cure these diseases. (Are we looking at gene-therapy...)Also the problem is with the efficacy of these drugs. Since there are multiple pathways leading to a disease, blocking one pathway could mean that another pathway would still be active. Blocking a major pathway could have other serious ramifications.
