  • 2 questions... what software have you use... also do you think you could help a struggling animator in his training, i honestly want to animate. as well as i animate it compares nothing to this... training if possible? P.M. me if u can

  • wow, Congrats on managing to do Anime style stuff. I can imagine it to be hard because of all the shading...

  • 1 ques .. can any one learn to do this easily .. or does it need training ????????

  • @falcon0984 xDDDDDD everything is easy to learn how to do, but to do it well, need some training.

  • i have anime studio can i do the same thing with that software? ive been trying to get a crew of people together to start a big project would you be interested?

  • i like it. people underestimate the work that goes into 2d stuff. I understand. But audio would be a nice finishing touch. Then you can use it for a demo reel or something.

  • @masterxeon1001 yes ^^ I have other works with sound. As this was only for visual test, I didn't care. Currently I'm producing a demo video for my new cartoon serie, and this'll have sound ^^'. (but it'll take a long time to finish as I'm producing a professional video for other animation companny).

  • wow dude did you HONESTLY make that scene just using what you said? is that your drawings youve uploaded to the software?

  • @DPSEntertainment yes, it's not difficult to do. there aren't many effects, it's just frame by frame basic animation.

  • That is Awesome!!

  • that blonde kid is pissed all the time it makes me angry lol

  • @Zirnon247 hahahahahahah xD I noticed it now! LOL

  • it reminds me of traverse town, and the flying dude reminds me of Sephiroth or Ansem or somethin

  • excellent work

  • where is the sound?

  • Do a REAL seris of this! It would be cool.

  • @qtysound srry, I spelled series wrong

  • Where is the sound? but nice animation

  • nice u should be pro

  • is this a free software virtualdub?

  • this video need a dub

  • can you make cake???

  • @TheXfirePhoenixX Wa? xD

  • COOL no wait i mean FREAKEN AWESOME all it needs is some sound and it would be perfict =)

  • very nice, probably the 3 dislikes are from those arrogant pro animators making a fool of themselves.

  • @MrRaindrop16 Thanks ^^'. The dislikes proves that I need increase my skills and evolve as animator, what is a very true.

  • How long did this take to colour & animate? (hours in the day spent on it)?

  • @GypsyCommunity humm.....I don't remeber very well, but this animation was made in 1 week. maybe 6 or 7 hours a day....I don't know. =\ sorry

  • wow very nice frame by frame ^_^

  • Nice😄🐬

  • WAIT HOW DID U MAKE TTHT?

  • Which is better and easier to use, synfig or GIMP?

  • @xXZombieMafiaXx It's 2 different softwares (like compare photosho with flash) GIMP is to draw the sprites and then, make then animate in other software. synfig is a movie editor like flash. it's up to you decides which is the easiest way.

  • nice but is there a sound or am i death

  • Hello good sir, may I know which program you used to actually paint the animation? I'm assuming GIMP, but I want to be sure.

  • @metalwolf59 exactly the GIMP =]

  • What software did you use on this animation?

  • u did this with ms paint, photoshop, and movie maker?

  • I like your vid man.

I was looking for a program for a long time.

So its WAX what you used for this or did you use all programs?

  • Hi! sorry i read the description but stupid little me didn't understand anyway! so what software did you use to make the animation? it looks really good and i wanna try!! :D I have a mac does that complicate things? thank you!

  • can someone tell me the name of the program

  • @airedragon8 it's on the final credits of the video.

  • Please, make a tutorial video on how you made this!

  • how do get it?

  • So which of those programs actually enabled you to string together all of your images and animate it? I've been looking for good programs, but I don't really care for Synfig or Anime Studio because the tweening mechanics (i.e. no keyframing at all) seem restrictive to me.

  • dislike bar= justin biebers dick:) true shit!!!!!

  • Me and My friends Are planning on making a anime series for youtube and this looks perfect do you know where I could download it from? Also did you just not put sound in it or does the progam not allow you?

  • @Arkenside I did not put the sound AND the program (wax) not allow sounds, but for this, you can use the audacity (to audio edit) and virtualdub to apply the sound file to the video file. all softwares free.

  • @Arkenside PM me here on YouTube when you begin the series. I'd love to see it.

  • @TheComputerSage No problem :) I'll pm you, might be a while before its finished

    [First time Animating].

  • This looks pretty cool. I'm also an animator and this software looks just like the one I'd like to try out. To be perfectly clear, where you can get this?

  • @Halogeenix each one on your official site, u can find it easily on google. =p

  • is their no sound or is it me!?

  • @toonyfatninjas there aren't sound ^^' sorry for this.

  • Wow really nice! Have you ever thought about using a tweening program like Synfig? I ask because I'm learning it now.

  • @douglasmathieu I never used the synfig (I can't remember), but I'll try and make other test with them (with tutorial if possible ^^') thanks! =]

  • it looks really good! how did u do it, forgive me for my ignorance, im looking to make annimation clips to music i make (anyone heard of glass and the machines of god?) did u draw each frame? musive take ages?

  • @lieinroses yes, to the movements I draw each frame ^^

  • @dyogoex so, then u scan em and put em into a program?? but each frame, that must take ages? i meen to get them fluent it must be the tiniest change in the picture of movement.

  • @lieinroses no, I draw the images already on GIMP (computer software) ^^ the flow of movements depends of your animation techniques, practicing you can improve it.

  • @dyogoex ah, thnx for the insight. much appreciated, now i havea better idea. makin cartoons/animation is not as hard as i thought

  • @lieinroses yes, it's just about patience and techniques ^^

  • I cant hear any sound? why?

  • @AbaiiChalDrin I doesn't put any sound, this video was just to show the animation ^^ no sounds, sorry

  • WAT PROGRAM DID U USE

  • @sparfcraft ^^' I really wanna do, but I have no time =Z

  • @dyogoex I would subscribe to you f you showed us how you made that :)

  • @obeyyjaayy1 hahahaha, I really wanna make a video tutorial, but haven't time yet ^^' but when have time, I'll do it. sorry =\

  • what animation program did u use?

  • Very, VERY nicely done. A good proof-of-concept of what free software can do!

  • @SwordfighterRed thanks! this is what I wanna shoW! \^^/

  • Genius

  • Error. Whenever I try to open Pencil it says that there is an Error and I should re download it. So I did and it still won't work. Please help.

  • @alikamilsmile huh =\ r u on Windows? I use it on Windows and linux (kubuntu), and I just downloaded the last version. your version is the 4.4b?

  • @dyogoex did u use gimp and the other imager / paint programs to draw the character . then use the animation programs to move them?

or did u draw them move then put all them together as clips, plese explain :D

  • @soap1st exactly the first option. I draw the images in alpha channel , export separately, then order and move them in the animation (video editor) program. sometimes, when I need to put some special effect, so I import a clip (like an explosion) and just put it above in the timeline.

  • One of the hardest parts of drawing comics/animations is doing the backgrounds. I almost think that's harder than even doing the animation itself. Your backgrounds look sweet! Some nice texturing on the walls and stuff. Keep it up, man!

  • @Matsuemon13 haha, thanks! I think too! and backgrounds aren't my speciality , so always that I can, skip this part. but normally (like in this work) I must make them .

  • Wow, nice job on this!! And all with free programs, too, which is even more impressive. I've used GIMP quite a bit, and Virtualdub, but I should check out the other two. =)

  • @Matsuemon13 ^^ your feeling about this free softwares are exactly what I wanted. thanks too much!

  • This is really good.

  • Dude, this was actually really amazing. I want to do this XD

  • what program is this?!

  • love it:-)

  • This animation is AWESOME!!!

  • link to download software????

  • u should of add sub titles but this is awesome!

  • dang..thats good...do more!!!

  • no sound yo,wat up

  • hello, i have downloaded all four of the programmes to make animation, but how do you like make them move and stuff?

  • @wethestorm in the gimp you'll make the sprites. like....each layer one step of the motion, so, export each frame as 1 image file (PNG), so, you'll open it on WAX and create the video.after export the final video (uncompressed), you'll use the virtualdub to compress.

  • @dyogoex did YOU made this animation ?O.o

    if that's so...you r a gr8!!!

  • @xxxxxmg123 hahaha thank you ^^ but it's not so good compared with 99% of the other works on the internet. I'm working hard to grow up. =]

  • @dyogoex

Which programm do you use for which thing? (sorry for this bad english, I am german) Of course I know, gimp is for drawing the pictures, but Inkscape, debgmode WAX and Virtualdub are all programms for making an animation arent they?

So why do you need three Programms?

  • I hear nothing...:((((

But the animation ist the best I have ever seen on youtube.

  • @Wellensittichfreund XDDDDDDDDDD it's a exaggeration, but thanks ^^'

  • @dyogoex

    No it isnt!

  • can u tell me which link u got it from so i can install it?

  • @TheFlowerQueen2 the youtube is denying my posts with the link

  • @TheFlowerQueen2 debugmode(dot)com/wax/download (so, you go to the download session).

    it's ok?

  • dude can u make a tutorial on how to mkae this like how to draw people make em move and stuff im really intrested to make my own series id be very greatfull thanks dude and are all the free programs legal

  • you should do a tutorial cause i want to try and do this to! p.s. how long did it take u?

  • @Silv3rPanda yes, I know >< I'm trying to make a new animation with a tutorial for the same, but my time is very short, I have lots and lots of freelancer works to do, btw.

For this animation I take 1 or 2 weeks (doing ONLY IT).

  • could you help me animate a series plz for free :) I really need help and i need a animator

  • @rosezac98 haha ^^' sorry I'm too busy with others professional works, but if you want a technical support (or guide), I can help you.

  • What did you Use please tell me

  • @catchief117 the softwares r on video description and, on the final credits.

  • INCREIBLE

  • lol just use flash.

  • man can you tell me how did you make it.Its like pokemon style and like this balgar.bg

  • Man its pretty good

  • @VideoEditingGuru12 Thanks ^^

  • could you tell me which software you used for animating thanks?

  • @666tribe thank you very much. ^^/

  • what progam you use to make it??

  • Awesome work!!! Just wondered, if I already have all my jpeg frames drawn, which program would you suggest using to animate them (based on easiness)?

  • @keithopulis Export the frames in PNG (for preserve the transparency) so, you import this single sprites to the Debugmode WAX, and then, put in sequence. (each frame in one timeline, like adobe after effects)

    it's the easier way. =]

any question, you can send me an email or a message to my channel ^^

  • @dyogoex Cool, thanks for the fast reply!!

  • WOW yer so much better than i am at animating but I still can't find an easy free software...

  • @zendaprez ^^ thanks. your software skill will depends only of your time practicing.

no one animation/video software is easy after all. ^^'

  • Nice Animation.. How to make it?

  • kk

  • do u have any video how to make it

  • @basedutube no, but soonly I'll start a new freeware animation project, and I'll publicate steps of the process and put all the project files for download (maybe in my DeviantArt), I'll warn here when start it.

  • Man I hope I'm as good s you

  • @KarlaProductions1 haha, thanks!! ^^ I'm not so good as you say.

  • @dyogoex but you can make your own cartoon..that's already a very good thing.. you should keep it up!

  • D: How did you make the fire at 0:42???

  • @unknown584582 it's a debugmode WAX plugin for particles. ^^

  • can u plz tell me wat software ru using plzz

  • @basedutube GIMP, DebugmodeWAX, Inkscape and Virtualdub (it's on the video description and in the final credits). =p

  • That's awesome! I wish i could do that

  • @hetaliauchiha you can if you practice. =]

  • @dyogoex Thanks for the confedence. I tried to animate on gimp but it confused me and I got nowhere.

  • @OddGohanaShawn it's easy. try again, it's only draw on 1 layer, then you low the opacity of this and draw the next frame on another layer. Then other and other... finally you have to export all the independent frames as image (PNG) and put in sequence with the debugmode WAX. put a background image and export the animation. =]

  • You could produce your own cartoon :)

  • God ur a good animater

  • @SuperNavi64 ah! is really good hear(read) this kind of comment! ^^ thanks! \o/

  • I like this video

  • @patrickbart94 xD thanks

  • Guys, he mentioned what software he used in the description.

  • dammmm ur good :D

  • that's pretty good animation :3

  • @okamiheaven14 thanks! ^^

  • i need the name of the program ...

  • no sound?

  • yes =\

My point was just the animation process.

I didn't think about the sound, but, if I was put it, probably would do it with adobe premiere.

I don't know any other software that does the same work.

  • @dyogoex o by the way what sofware did u use 2 create this? i want 2 make cartoons 2 is it free? if it is plz help me thanks

  • @power1395

    Hello! ^^

I used the GIMP to produce the sprites (drawings) and inkscape to the animation logo (the stone at the end)

And to finalize, used the DEBUG MODE WAX to edit the video (like after effects).

All this information are at the end ^^'

But, if you wanna produce some cartoon animations, it's better if you get a vetorial animation software, like ADOBE FLASH (not free), or the PENCIL 2D (free) and post edition in DEBUG MODE WAX (free) or ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS (not free).

  • @dyogoex ps i like this video

  • @dyogoex but what sofware did u use?

  • where can i Downoad this?

  • on their respectives official sites. =]

    vlw a dica e o comentário o/

  • you used all of those sofwares for that one video?

where they all free and is it virus free?

    nice job

  • yes, all those softwares are free and no one virus xD

and thanks for the comment =p

  • Comment removed

  • looks better than half the cartoons on tv these days

  • hahahaahah! wow, thanks =p

but I think u'r talking about the graphic style, aren't?

because the animation isn't so good (I'm better actually xD) but I'm very glad with your

comment, and I'm studying more and more. o/

  • what software did u use?

  • wat software ?

  • excellent video, you have done a great job.

i didnt hear any sound tho, was this intentional ? as i would like to try and mix my original compositions with some animation.

  • @thumbfacenot

wow, original compositions? it sound interesting ^^ why do u not put them on a website? like kevin mcleod. And there's no sound in the video, intencionally. ^^ I did want just put a freeware video test. ty the comments ^^

  • @dyogoex i will check out Kevin Mcloud thanks.

i am trying to get my tunes on youtube, but my camera records static sound and in the end it sounds really bad, so i am going to upload them as sound files recorded with a mic and Audacity, and add some photos, i have one on my youtube already ... click my name if you wanna check it out, i play acoustic guitar btw, so if you aint into guitar and mellow music i wouldnt bother. cheers man. peace.

  • ah, the PAP, I got it one day before, but was too much complex for me, I couldn't do nothing xD.

but I'll take it again to try harder.

until now, I haven't any idea of how useful and workable is this software. =\

  • what animation thing did u use to make dis

  • ^^'

"I used only freewares: GIMP and debugmode WAX for sprites and scenes, virtual dub for post-edition and inkscape for logo."
