I just watched this video after two mos. My lil girl was born on 11/23/2011 and she weighed 2 lbs 8 oz and was 11 weeks early. It was a struggle and she fought hard to survive! She is now almost 8 lbs and getting healthier everyday. It is a funny thing, this thing called life. Most of us take it for granted; my little one clings to it every day and strives to make the most of it! Will you as well?
Thank you for sharing this utterly amazing story with us all. My twin boys were born at 30 weeks, now very large very noisy 11 year olds! I wish all of you the very best :)
just beautiful. what a lovely video to look back on in years to come, and to show zachary too. Im delighted everything worked out so well for you in the end, as for so many it does not. congratulations guys. just beautiful x
I break down in tears every single time I watch this. May God bless your baby boy, he is simply a beautiful gift from god. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I cant imagine how heartbreaking it must be for any parent to experience this. Im glad that he is doing great. You and your wife are both very strong individuals.
he is a strong baby. i'm touched to see the boy when he was holding his mother's finger, shows he was so scared sleeping in there alone. but he made it...what a miracles..
i havent cried that hard in a long time such a beautiful story my son was born at 26 weeks he is 3 now and doing fabulously well done on such a beautiful strong baby boy ..... just beautiful!
Hi lovely story. My second child was taken by C-Section at 38 weeks. My water didn't break but I was EXTREMELY low on amniotic fluid so my OBGYN said I had to have a C-Section ASAP as in immediately as soon as she discovered it. I was just curious how it was possible for your baby to survive for so long with no amniotic fluid. Forgive me if I'm ignorant, just going by what I experienced myself. Tell me the beautiful story!
what a great story! I had PPROM at 26 weeks and my twins were born 8 days later. I was going crazy in the hospital for that long, I have no idea how you made it 11 weeks! :)

Oh my gosh this vid had me in tears especially when they take him out of the incubator and hes crying then they put him on his mummy and he stops straight away!amazing x
hi, ur vid z so inspiring! i just have 30 week preemie on this 31st may. i'll b happy if u'll tell me something more about his weight loss in earliar days n how much was his average weight gain later. i'm much concerned about that. my baby girl was just 1 kg at birth. i'll be grateful if u'll share that info directly or in any video. thnx!
Thank you so much for this video! I am in the hospital now at 26 weeks, 3 days. My waters broke at 14 weeks and I was given no hope at the time. I loved watching this. I'm just curious what hospital you were in? I'm in Abbot Northwestern in Minneapolis
Omg this video is so touching. Im sitting here with tears in my eyes. I am in my 30th week of pregnancy with my second son. This would have been so hard on you, your family and your little one. You are all incredibly strong! I hope your son is doing well x
sweet :) I just came back to my hospital room from the NICU, my beautiful little angel was born 62 hrs ago weighing only 2lbs 12oz, my water broke 2 weeks before, and it has been a long stay indeed! (with more to come, cuz I won't leave her w/out her) I heard from a few nurses here about women who held out over 10 weeks and it blew my mind... wow! you're my hero, mama, excellent job. :) how long did he have to stay in the hospital? Good luck to your family! inspiring story for me :))
My duaghter was born at 27.5 weeks and is now 14 months old. She was I'm guessing born around the same time your son was. I can remember the first time holding her and I'm not sure whether I showed emotion or not. I was probably out of tears, but I absolutely loved it. But I did her birthday video with the same song by Mercy Me and our daughter is actually gettting ready to be a big sister. This time we are having a boy.
Absolutely amazing how strong a tiny little preemie can be. My son was born one day short of 34 weeks. He was 4lbs 6 oz. The hardest part for me was having to leave him the hospital was almost 2 hours from home. He is going to be 7 on the 26th of this month. He amazes me every day.
I was just looking for pics of early babies since one of my relatives just gave birth to quads at 30 weeks, and your video popped up. What an amazing story to come across...your video has me in tears. Many blessings and congratulations, I am sure he is bringing you so much joy! Thanks for sharing!
He is just beautiful... My daughter was born at 24 weeks. She was born weighing 1lb 2oz.. She is now 14 years old and a beautiful, healthy, wonderful blessing to all that she meets.. I pray for your son.. That you have many more wonderful videos to post. God Bless You...
this brought tears to my eyes, im 30 weeks today and i cant even picture myself givng birth to my bay girl right now, i hope hes doing ok, preying for u xoxo
aww cute little guy...my friend had her son at 28 weeks...hes over a yr old now and doing great! but geing in the hospital 11 week :o must have a hella good insurance...but very precious
I'm 30 weeks today and I just can't imagine having my little guy yet. It's such a scary thought. I'm just so happy for you that everything is going so well. Congratulations.
My name is Adam, and my wife Ginny and I just experienced the EXACT same thing as you all - we were PPROM at exactly 20 weeks, and we made it 11 weeks 1 day - and our son was born just two days ago... so we're in for a long journey as well!
But your video was incredible, and brought tears to my eyes since your story mirrors ours almost exactly. I would love to hear how your son is doing now.
thanks for your comments! yes Zac is doing great. he is now 11 months and is a total monster in the house. i couldnt of asked for things to be any better! how is your little one?
@LonnyandDeanne Thanks!! Our son is doing fine for a 31 week old premie... He's currently on a CPAP, but only at low pressures (3) and with only room air... My wife was just discharged yesterday and is now home for the first time in over 7 weeks!! So we're handling things okay! :)
Great video. I can answer for Adam and Ginny that their boy is doing wonderfully. We met Adam and Ginny while they were on bed rest. Our baby was born at 29 weeks and should be released from the hospital in the next 1-2 weeks.
