that is one small hoe on the left... besides that - Dig with the blade behind you... you'll never clip the blade plus u can grade the dirt when you continue with your trench... leaving a level surface to dig.
@rawoctane digging on the drice sproket can really do dome damage to the machine if you aint careful and the bale gives you support. and its an excavator so it dont matter whats behind you just run a trck backward to level yourself or cast your material behind you to build a pad as you go.
