Not bad at all. Looks real beautiful and it definitely would've had my vote. Unique treasures like this make me wish people would try more interesting ways to create art, rather than just make it all digital all the time.
It sucks, people like us who have talent are always going to lose to people who have Photoshop and such, of course they're going to win, they have a computer all do it for themselves, I entered this contest as well, an I drew mine, of course I lost.
I entered the Sonic CD Fan Art contest myself and failed to win too, which disappointed me. My entry was coloured in using felt tip pens, and can be found on my deviantART account, with a link being provided by my account. It's titled "Sonic CD: TIMEPIE". Maybe if I discovered my recently found shading technique using my grey felt tip pen sooner, I would've won...
@cbonde101 I'm glad you liked it, but YES, it was definitely drawn by hand. Trust me, it took me whole days to finish this on paper. I barely took breaks in between dotting the whole thing. Wish I could show you the real thing in person... you can even ask my friends in real life. lol
@cbonde101 Dude. This drawing was hand drawn it was not Photoshop nor did she use any other art program for it. I've seen her work on this for I am her witness....and best buddy. :)
Regardless of placement in the contest, this is unbelievably lovely, in my opinion; in fact, looking at this has inspired me to try making Sonic fan-art again, for the first time in years.
For what it's worth... I give this drawing first place. :)
i lost too i was so devistaded when i herd i never won so i will also try harder next time and if i were sega i woud always put you first in drawing contests i dont know why you never won but oh well thanks for showing us
This picture looks great. I can tell that there was time and effort put into it. Don't feel too bad about losing. Unfortunately, whether it is justified or not, it happens.
Nice work! A shame you didn't win,I would've know about it I would've gave it a go. I felt the same way about that Marvel vs capcom 3 contest last year, but I've moved on from that.
@LUFUJ What's so bad is that there is a winning picture that looks like mine, but the way it's drawn looks elementary... :\ I'm surprised I got passed up for that. I'll show you what it looks like in a PM. I didn't find this out until after I posted this video, so I don't feel too bad about my picture anymore.
This was a Really Good Stippling Drawing. I had a hand in a few stippling projects myself over the years. I commend you for particpating in the Sonic CD Project, and I hope you can do better next time in the near future! =)
Nice job. I remember that method first used by a French artist. Nowdays, the dot method is used by Drew Friedman for his caricatures on MAD and other venues.

I doubt that was hand drawn. It looks too way past cool to be drawn by hand.
