@SouthwindPOR dude, that's cause you misspelled gretzky! There's actually lots of results on gretzky even in that newspaper.. I don't know about globally, but here in Sweden (in which we play hockey), Gretzky is way, WAY more famous than GSP. I'd be shocked if 20% of all people here knew about GSP. 99% know Gretzky. Globally tho, another story.

But here is more famous ufc,for example i see posters on the street of the pay channel(sporttv) that is transmitted.And if you google «mma portugal»,«ufc portugal» there are portuguese sites.Ice hockey=hoquei no gelo,it appears wikipedia entri

Our fav sport is football(go figure,right? lol) and after,is probably rugby(last WC in france.They made it,1st time there,and it was the only amateur team there.That touched our hearts).
I got 2 friends that go to UFC events,i can't because of work but i like do kickb in the gym.

i'm european(portuguese) and i never heard of wayne gretzky before dana white mentioned him.
Ice hochey is also not very famous in places i've visited in europe,at least.
I actually see GSP name ocasionally,here, in newspapers.
