@skybluesalex Because most accidents happen on the ground! Flight attendants are trained to keep a lookout and notify the pilots right away if they see any ground hazards. Also, if there is an emergency, rescue crews are able to access the situation inside if the windows are not blocked.

good safety video, but they should be less sort  of 'funny'. This is a safety video nearly every one will pay attention to. They should say what plane it is. They have 777's

Most people wouldn't know the difference between a 777 and an A340. Also not mentioning the aircraft allows them to place the video on any other future fleet types without having to edit it severely. This is the same with Virgin Atlantic's safety video which has a mixed fleet but with one video used throughout the whole of the fleet.

A380 aside, Qantas not buying 777's a long time ago when they had the chance I suspect will be to their detriment, and one of the prized jewels V-Australia is not about to go and sell to them! It's a tough road ahead, but I think V will do quite well.

Bejeweled on the seatback entertainment system? Belgian waffles with peaches for breakfast?
