Well well..........thats the stuff we need at work. We only got a Cat wheel loader witch had been customized for the landfill I work on. Rubber wheels of and on with some crappy metal wheels were everything sticks to the wheels and axels. Every month or so we gotta take off the wheels in order to keep the axles clean.
We hope we get a proper refuse compactor made for the job instead of that wannabe compactor we have.
compactors they don't have speed just high and low .
they are around 50,000 pounds give or take. They aren't all that once you learn how to operate one for example the other day the one I drive bottom out on a pile of roof shingles you must spread shings out first and I didn't do it just right my wheels just spinned ny buddy got a D.A which is a tractor with tank wheels far more powerfull than a Compactor and pushed me off those shingles u got to smooth the trash out for the scrapers for dirt.
he pushes easy but it looks like he only gets city neighborhood trash wich sometimes they keep seperate from other trash like oilfield or roofing shingels mattresses construction materials ect the kinda stuff where the real skill comes in see those metal wheels the inside spins and wire sometimes gets trapped- that is hard to get out and some wire, or chain ,and other shit like poly pipe tubing gets wrapped and can stop the compactor I've had my share of that stuff this guy has it easy..
@SiteInvestigator i drived compactor for 5 years. Construction materials are on the top to do a kinda road on garbage. I think its easier with it, the hardest things is vegetable from supermarket it cant be compact.
