This is a good counterpoint. But these people make most of their money from the NICER PCs that tend to be from RICHER countries. Wouldn't the place look nicer if all Pentium 3 and nicer stuff was sent there?

That the PCs they import are better than the ones they recycle from their home country. The motherboard recycling is awful. But these are smart people who also fix up computers. That's how Korea became OECD.

well, i guess it's good that you're finding the good in the bad. the silver lining in the dark clouds so to speak.

i just feel like all this technology and globalization is leading to more and more exploitation of people. seems like those people would be better off if they were just farmers. i'm not an expert though. just seems a little fucked up is all.
