I used the LAW as well in the military and the LAW (even the A4 model) is stronger and more accurate than the RPG. the only thing the RPG that the LAW doesnt have is that it can be reloaded. but in the way of weight, recoil, accuracy, and portability? LAW kills RPG
@ThatGuyAtTheBar You are wrong the rpg has lower recoil bigger war head and can be used more than once and the rpg has killed more people than the law
@ppitm Newer versions of the LAW have more power & range too though, also armies that use law also usually use more efficient AT systems for further ranges & harder targets. Law also has few other pros, like being light and easy to use, and because it's one shot per LAW it doesn't need cleaning like the RPG system.
Because of it's lightness, one rifleman carries 1-3 LAWs at FDF squads, when AT specialist has a heavy AT weapon & LAW. Meaning ca. 12 LAWs in one squad, good firepower.
lol "i cant trust this guy with an HE!" last thing i wanna hear when Im watching my buddy fire a Rocket Launcher. If it was his first time firing any rocket launcher he should be using a dummy round... For the safety of everyone
@TheBigBoomWorkshop the law rocket is a one time use system, in basic way back in the day when they trained on these, they used a sub cal round, a smaller rocket that could be used for practice, and could be loaded into a training law, and reloaded multiple times.
For those who are confused, the LAW rocket motor is completely burnt in the tube. It is ballistic going downrange. The RPG has a motor which kicks it out of the tube, and another that goes off right after leaving the tube to send it downrange. That makes it more impressive and longer range. The RPG is much heavier then the LAW. The LAW is fiberglass and aluminum. The RPG is steel and wood. The US equivalent to the RPG was the Super Bazooka, the M67 recoilless rifle, and the M47 Dragon.
@Maximussy666 LAW can stand for Light Anti-Tank Weapon or Light Anti-Armour Weapon. It's actually called the M72. Get it right and don't be a dick next time.
I played lots of games that had a law and usually it exploded with fire (Counter-Strike for ex. and Delta Force 2 ) ... well those are games and probably use these effects to make it look more fun or destroying . :)
But it is! There was a Counter-Strike release called Condition Zero and with it, came CS Deleted Scenes in which you could only play in single player... You know... levels. And it had a law, for destroying cars or for terrorists who wanted to blow your chopper down xD ....
Anyway, to have fun with it you need: sv_cheats 1 and then: bind t "give weapon_laws" ... lol
RPG! More range and penetration. Also, One launcher with the promise of firing more rockets compared to the M72 LAAW (Light Anti-Armor Weapon) that has a disposable tube.
Yeah except the problem with the RPG-7 is that its heavy as hell and once you shot your grenades you have to lug the launcher around. Soldiers these days ask for lighter RPG's like LAW and AT4, thats why the Russians cloned the LAW as the RPG-26 iirc. Also rpg-7 is not that accurate.
its small rocket launcher for disabled small vehicle
like hummer
gaz tigr
iveco lmv
kobra otokar
and other regular jeep
TATARSTAN59500 2 days ago
Try the NLAW, i think that weapon "outguns" the RPG-7. Even though, the normal LAW is stronger than a RPG-7 with a RPG-L warhead.

the rpg pierces armor better, and it also has different types of ammunition it can fire
RicoDuroska 4 months ago
@ThatGuyAtTheBar The PGO-7 scope wouldn't have been invented if the RPG-7 was inaccurate.
The LAW isn't used out to 300-500 meters like the RPG is. And the RPG is much more powerful with the modern rockets they have now. Otherwise I agree.
