Not really. A ''Snuff'' is usually a movie where the director or whoever is producing the movie uses a real death experience for his movie, usually it being set-up and all they do is video tape it and make a movie out of it or out of numerous deaths.

What this song is trying to get across is that, someone was killing whoever wrote the song and while he was being killed, it was for everyone to see. ''It took the Death of Hope to let you go'' meaning something died between him and another
