simply check out curtis mayfield`s original version and you will realise how anaemic and soulless herbie`s take on that great soul anthem really is!

contrary to my spelling of anaemic (which is, in fact, quite correct), you got TWO things wrong in YOUR posting: first, it`s empyrean, not emperyan. worse still, it`s "isles", not fields! ouch!

herbie hancock is a great musician who has played some wonderful music. "future shock" however is most definitely NOT a highlight!

as for any future ad hominem (latin, btw!) attacks on youtube, maybe you should a) practice what you preach! b) know who you`re dealing with!

@shotdonkey why can't people accept that great musicians sometimes make ill-chosen songs? Herbie Hancock is awesome in general and even awesome on this album. But this cover sucks. Live with it, folks. A part of being a fan is accepting an artists highs and lows for what they are.
