It means that the Church of Scientology has this tendency to get involved in a lot of court cases and legal battles. The Church abuses the judicial system and is much more than a "religion" - it is a dangerous organization that ruins lives, harasses critics, and breaks up families. It abuses the weak and the lost. It impoverishes the gullible, and then turns them to indentured servitude when they can no longer afford to pay their way to 'enlightenment'.
To some people, Scientology is recognized as its own religion, and not part of some majority religion such as Christianity or Judaism.
Just to be clear, I don't hate Scientologists - people have the right to believe whatever they want.
What I DO hate is the abuses the Church of Scientology engages in - blackmail using a member's confidential confessionals, separation of families , denial of proper medical care, 100 hour work weeks at 50 cents an hour.. it's wrong.

I heard that too. I also heard he calls her like 15 times per hour any time she meets up with one of her friends he & scientology don't approve of. And my God, Katie has aged really badly in only 3 years. Even her voice & mannerisms in interviews are different. Look at her old interviews with David Letterman compared to now.. it's scary. I hope when she eventually gets brave enough to divorce Tom, she gets a paternity test. Get that baby the hell away from him ASAP, Katie!

Something happened to Tom Cruise the instant that Nichole got pregnant by someone else. When she was unfaithful, he snapped. Perhaps it was his massive ego, who knows? The fact is, he snapped, and Scientology promised to make him whole again. They made him feel like a god(his millions encouraged them to do that), and a new wife, and child, was all part of the plan.
