  • Great video! I like using anything and everything that catches my ear. I personally don't care about dates, if the music/sample is appealing.

  • He samples all the stuff I avoid. Haha...I like the late 60's-early 70's soul. That's where you get rough bangin drums. By the late 70's all the soul guys turned disco funk. I don't sample that stuff...

  • Nice video! I'm 17 now and been samling for 2 years with an Akai S1000. I just like to sample anything made before 1993, hiphop, funk, soul, anything breaks. Just want to say it doesn't matter what you sample, but make it your own and make it sound good. Sometimes I even sample rock & metal, again it's good if you make it sound good. Cheers

  • @AnthonyDavid94 you should sample anything that sounds good kid because

    httwatch?v=JnDYattQH3Y became watch?v=ufj_I5TRMRw

  • @DjComplex72 Haha nice1!

  • This was a pretty good rundown , a little basic but good for new people, especially younguns..

     - Will check out the rest of your vids!

  • I got that odyssey record....good shit....

  • he has a weird dimple in his head when he lifts his eyebrows!

  • 1988 seems a little too late a time period to sample from. You shouldn't sample sounds that you could make with a drum machine either. Sample live drum hits but if you want gated reverb on snares then just do it yourself.

  • @AndPlus Anything from anytime can be sampled.

  • very good teacher!!! your expression and attitude is great!
