Great video! I am so happy with the way these gentlemen approached the topic of how our critics sometimes approach us. It i also fantastic that they did as all members of the church do and invite all to READ the BOM and then PRAY to know whether it is true, rather than just dismiss it without any knowledge of what the book says. If our critics want proof, I have many questions about what proof they have of some of the things they believe. Faith is not about proof. It is about FAITH. :)
Yes, He has power over and knowledge of His creations, But he will never take away our free will or force us to act in a certain way. He gave us each a life and allows us to choose how we live it.
Are you implying that if someone does not feel the burning in the bosom as a result of prayerfully reading and reflecting upon the Book of Mormon with an open heart that they are full of sin?
I believe fairlds will be the channel to explain all the critics to LDS church, to mormons and non-mormons. I hope you'll keep on your work, but I was expecting a less emotional and a more facts related vids.
I'll be following your postings and wish you a productive entrepreneurship.
Christianity has a problem:The Bible may be history, but it can't be proven to be of divine origin. Mormonism has an additional problem. Its scripture are completely fictional,so there is not even a possibilty of it being from God.
Famous Mormons Gladys Knight Julianne Hough Stephenie Meyer Marie Osmond Martha Hughes Cannon Jean Westwood Susan Tanner Steve Young Andy Reid Orrin Hatch Harry Reid Glenn Beck
Orinsmom! You are the man! I love how they bash and they bash, but when someone bears their testimony, then what . . . . ha ha then they may try and bash feelings but ha ha.
So what these guys are saying is that even though there's no real proof for the religion, they would still be prepared to give their lives, emotions , time and money to something that might not be true after all?! What a way to go through life.Where is the love in that? What about their loved ones going on missions and it all could be in vain?
Exactly only "Could be..." so they are open to the possibility of the church not being true. That means that it's possible these poor young men are giving two years of their lives and suffering regection and riddicule for nothing. How horrible.
Before these young men give two years of their lives, they receive a witness for themselves of the truthfulness of the gospel.
The scholars here point out that science can never get us 100% there to having a relationship with God. It is only faith, prayer, and the Holy Spirit that can teach us that.
As someone who served a two-year mission, where I received rejection and ridicule, I would not change a thing. It prepared me for the rest of my life and brought me closer to God.
So take the good things from that rite of passage. Two years away etc. But now it's time to move on. True, science can't get anyone to have a relationship with God. However, facts and science can totally disprove something 100%. When the mormons come to the door I'm as nice as possible.I appreciate that by sharing what is important to them they are doing a kindness to others. The tragedy is that a 2 minute internet search reveals that its all a hoax and their religion teaches polygamy.
"a 2 minute internet search reveals that its all a hoax".
Amazing how some of the most educated and successful people in the United States, and throughout the world, haven't done this "2 minute search". Amazing that even the members of the Church who work for Internet search engines like Google haven't done this "2 minute search".
I appreciate that you are kind to missionaries. As a former missionary, it means a lot just to see some friendly faces.
devoting 2 years to any form of service is not a horrible experience in the least. if you took the time to ask these "poor young men" how that time affected their lives, you will discover just how wrong your initial conclusions have been. or you could spend some time serving others, particularly if your service is sometimes rejected, and discover for yourself whether it is a waste of time
suppose for the sake of your argument that it is not true. That would not necessarily make it all in vain. Mormons generally derive great satisfaction from living their faith as they strive to become better individuals. There is a great deal of love in their lives. What a way to go through life, indeed.
this video, these scholars..its all wishy washy stuff. all the mormons say is "pray about it" ..because there is NO evidence no archeology no nothing to suport your religion. i spoke to these mormon missionaries last week and everythng i said they couldnt have an answer for it..al they said was "pray about it"..well i prayed about it and i was convicted that mormonism is a false religion. i am a christian not mormon. if u deny basic christian doctrines u arent a christian. mormons arnt christian
Archaelogy proves little. Non-Christian religions have evidence that their leaders actually lived and existed, just like the Bible. Does that make Islam or Buddhism true?
I'm sorry you find it strange that we put our trust in God to give us direction. I trust God more than any scholar in the world.
I think that is the best answer they could have given you! That is the best answer any missionary can give to a person; pray about it! Because, if people do not wish to find the truth for themselves, if they are not willing to ask God (the One that knows all things), for guidance and for help in (all) things, then there is no point for missionaries to tell them anything else. If you would pray about if the Church is true, with real intent, and if you would listen to the missionaries and...
I did it. I prayed to know that the book of Mormon is true.Well, it started with me realizing that God is real, and really knows me. And He does not,and can not lie. So I prayed to Him and I was completely willing to do whatever He wanted me too. He made it known to me through the unmistakable power of His Spirit, that not only is the Book of Mormon true, but this church is THE restored Church of Jesus Christ. This faith that's been given me is a blessing. I thank God for His mercy and love for me.
um wow. I cant believe people post things oblivous to the fact that we live everyday with faith for a tomorrow. If God wants you to have faith you better do just that. Why question God? Prayer does work. Sad that so many people dont even pray to find truth. or if the book of mormon is true.
"What I would say to you is there is no archeological proof of the Book of Mormon. You can look all you want. And there's been a lot of speculation about it. There've been books written by Mormon scholars saying that "this event took place here" or "this event took place here." But that's entirely speculative. There is absolutely no archeological evidence that you can tie directly to events that took place."
- Dr. David Johnson, Professor of Anthropology, BYU - 1997.
How convenient you fail to mention the source on this one. It came in a supposed "phone conversation" with a critic of the Mormon Church. There is nothing written, nothing substantiated--in other words, no evidence of this quote whatsoever except the word of a critic. Seems suspicious, doesn't it?
Are you kidding me? Is this bald guy really saying that at the beginning of this video that God is hiding the historical evidence, the physical evidence, the DNA evidence for the Book of Mormon because God wants people to have to accept it on faith?
Give me a break man. That is like saying he hid the dinosaur fossils in the ground to test our faith of the fall.
That is a lame excuse for a lack of evidence. Why couldn't God just be a really good creative writer?
Another great video and PRO LDS! new videos concerning Book of Mormon & DNA by the backyard Professor type in one of these to get to his channel Realistic Book of Mormon Evidences The Atonement as Rite of Healing DNA & the Book of Mormon Part 1 2 3 4 5 6 or 7 Book of Abraham Facsimile 2, Figure 7, Pt. 2 He is blessed with a gift to teach LDS truths. He is amazing! Well worth your time and very informative for all Latter day saints Good listening!

Getting a witness of the truthfulness of the BOM is so easy!
It's as close as mans knees are to the ground and the nearest BOM.
If your sinful?
It's not so easy to feel the Holy Ghost.(spirit of truth)
Why?
Because the Holy Ghost is clean.

It's cool to hear the sincere thoughts of people that have spent their lives deeply studying and researching the Book of Mormon and Bible.
Reading the Book of Mormon is the best way to learn of its truth.
