This scene was photographed in Arthur Cheesman's flat on SE 10th and Washington. Downstairs was PHANTASMAGORIA, his pioneering hippy antique/vintage clothing shop.
I rented a VHS of Property abut 10 years ago. Does anybody know the actual neighborhood where this was filmed? Was it what was left of South Portland (Lair Hill) after that awful urban renewal binge?
This is an historic film about the golden years of Portland's 'counter-culture' with a coterie of performance artists. This clip features Cork Hubbert who went on to success in Hollywood features such as "Legend", "Under the Rainbow" and "Caveman". Sadly, he died in 2004 of kidney failure. He will be missed!

Most of the exterior views of the neighborhood were filmed in the area near the Ross Island Grocery.
