SHAME ON POSTING THIS NICE SYNTHS PLAYED BY AN IDIOT THAT DON'T EVEN KNOW MUSIC WOW! AND HE DARES TO POST HIS STUPIDITY TO LET THE WORLD KNOW HOW DUMB HE IS WOW! AMAZING!
Nice work! I have a memorymoog and might be purchasing a prophet t8, do you think these two will compliment each other well or do they cover mostly the same sonic territory other than the velocity/aftertouch modulation? Would like a jupiter 8 or matrix 12 but those are a little steep!
That's when making music was fun and had feeling. Not like today straining yours eyes on a bloody computer screen and spending 90% of the time editing and 10% listening.
hey lewis come on.. how the fook did you afford all that gear??? i got rid of my jupiter and ob8 years ago when i got into guitar. i now have a great guitar collection which has cost me thousands!!! i just saved and worked really hard!! i should never have sold my synths they were mint! miss them. as for all these haters..they are just jealous!! as am i! about time you posted more vids! rock on kid!! ps as much as i love playing guitar i'll always be a closet synth lover!!
Bloody heck, that gear must have set you back a fair bit! I would have put the MemoryMoog in unison mode for bass. Got any Oberheim or Linn? Ah, I wish my home even had the space for an A-frame rack...
Does anyone know what do do when the an1x battery dies, do all your interal sounds do (the presets) i don't mind re-editing sound, my M1, I already have the sound card to re-lod, the sounds, do you even need to re-load sounds, do you just replace the battery and that's it, fi not, what od you do, I don't use my computer - so is there a card or a device you can get from Yamaha - anyone on here who could answer would be a huge help, I would love to buy one of these.
A nice vintage collection--back when each keyboard had its own unique-looking collection of knobs and sliders encased in woodgrain. (I own Jupiter's "wife", a Juno-60).
@dre1on3 well... not only musicians are doing that, but manufacturers too... how many times have you seen a description on a new synth that says something as "24dB low pass filter Minimoog-like" ... all synths try to imitate what happened until the 80s, except the korg radias maybe (well, from my own personal experience i don't have too much gear)
after a certain point...you need to walk outside to take it all in...I mean after all...what are you going to be inspired from? house depresion isn't the grooviest of inspiration..
it was a reply to someone saying they woulnd't ever leave their house if they had his set-up. One could take it as a very dry joke. Now the questions i have...did you really need to ask that? and what does anyone really need to say? dick.
fuck off. just because this was filmed inside doesn't that's where he's spends his life (although it's not a bad thing with all the amazing keyboards he has). get a life. you're just jealous
As always, amazing playing. Nice to see the JD still in the rig. For me the best sounds came from the little Korg. It's fatter than the little fatty. loved it
was recorded from the speaker on your web cam ? it would be great to hear your work at line level so the synths sound as good as they can.. it's rare to hear so many classics together like that now.
hey, I used to have so many synths to, I had all the ones you have except gee never got my hands on the mighty memory moog and Sequentiel T8 geezzzzzzz
I saw that U still have room for more ..like the upper right side in the middle...maybe a TR-909...and hey..wear sunglasses next time...bet u were high as a kite that night =D
Cool! Like techno, but with a little imaginative twist!
Well done, but I have a couple suggestions:
1. I thought it was rather wise of you to try and mix the different volume levels, but I think the Pro One was a just a little bit too loud in comparison to the Memorymoog.
2. If you wanted to, you could use a different synth for the high sequenced sounds and then use the Jupiter-8 for some awesome sound effects! It's your decision; I just felt kind of witty at the time =)
No, unfortunately not, that is the only one it can't play, says so on page 62 of the manual, it is only a keyboard after all can't expect it to play everything.
the problem is that synths want to make you play them by yourself, when it would be so much more fun to have people at the instruments/sequencers etc. who react to each other :)
Synth utopia, you are amazing my friend. What an amazing set up.. I must be dreaming here. A pure oasis of synth bliss. What great synth classics. I'm drooling. loved the music. Keep it up.. incredable. WOW, LOL .

Pros:
- nice way you play with the sound. I like it's fatness and attempt to produce some unique tones.
- good base for some interesting, more comlex composition.
Cons:
- you could have recorded this piece via line in, not microphone's camera :(
- the main motive is just to monotonous. Add some more chords and few solos please :)
