I just noticed that I look a little bit like Jeannie. We both have blonde hair and blue eyes and have a young, round childish look. And I'm going to be her for Halloween this year!
Thank you, 'Romelle'. After this episode, the Stones were never seen or mentioned again. Karen Sharpe married producer/director Stanley Kramer the following year, and retired from acting. Philip Ober eventually became a real U.S. ambassador (to Mexico) after he finished his acting career...
Originally telecast on October 9, 1965 in black and white. Sidney Sheldon had intended for a "romantic triangle" between Tony, Jeannie and Melissa Stone after the pilot episode, but realized it wouldn't work out in the long run. So he ended that portion of the story involving Melissa and General Stone with this episode. In the first draft script, Jeannie was supposed to emerge from the "cake" and dance, but Barbara was about five months pregnant (note how many hands have to lift her out!).
