@LawnWolf It's still around, still waiting for us to get back to it. There is a part 4 where it pops to life for a little while. In other words, it looks real promising.
well maybe its the gas filter thats not working becuz after they sitt for a lon time the gas wont flow thru becuz i tried the sccrew driver in the plugs and it wasnt that check the gas filter
get a good battery and a good pair of jumper cables, hook up the ground to the frame, hook up the pos. to the starter, switch on the ignition, take a screwdriver and jump the starter solenoid, and start it up already.
I thought about something. Maybe you should pick up a serpentine belt before you finally try and get this thing started. I don't know what condition the current one is in, but it'd suck to drive all the way out to the farm and have the belt break when you get it started, lol! Worst comes to worst, you can always return it!
What's the latest news on this truck Bill, has it started getting warm enough there to work on it yet, have you got it to turn over? Im waiting to see this thing fire up and drive off it's spot where it's been stood for the past X years?
Well you are entitled to your own opinion of my videos. :-) And I guess the only thing I can say is that there are only so many ways to express something. I don't make these videos to copy Dave, or steal any of his thunder, and that has never been my intention. I make them because I have made videos for a long time (one of these days I might dig some old ones out) and I enjoy doing so. It's a welcome break from all the stuff I have to do.
I don't think that I do. If anything, Dave Rock has been an inspiration for me to get back into making videos about the things I do and have. But I don't always agree with everything he does--I don't swear nearly as much, nor do I drink (not that I have anything against those who do) and I have a different personality.
I think my videos do stand out, and that they have their own merits. You are entitled to your own opinion, of course. :-)
what part? I live in Rochelle, i wan't to move out because all these damn trains keep me awake at night, but anyways i think you should completely restore that truck because grain trucks are fun as hell to drive.
just a note, here in canada that Dave Rock Guy........says bees but he actully is batteling just like you With Waspes...l'd think hes well aware of that bees just get aperson attchen better
Best of luck with the old chevy, fairly easy to hotwire actully a screw driver a peice of wire and the 2 battery terminals hehe old school or no school
We'll be waiting fpr that old grain truck to arise from the dead. You can never kill an old Chevy, or a GM product like that one. It might be rusty, but the ones i messed with were the most dependable i've ever drove. Love those old Chevys.
hey nice vids watched almost all of them realy enjoyed seeing those old cars starting up again.. i also like going to farms looking for old abandoned cars. are they yours?? do you get permision to start them up? iv got a lumina euro myself but a 3.4 that i brought back from the dead, very rear car here where i live if not the only one... waiting to see that grain truck start up..
best regards from the other side of the puddle Spain!
The vehicles you've seen so far have all been ones that we owned. I've never gone around looking for abandoned cars, but there don't seem to be that many around here. Thanks for watching!
Probably. And it might be a cold start--it's getting colder here now!
Too bad your Escort is gone--they may have been crappy cars, but I have fond memories of the one my mom had. It was cheap but it sure ran good and went everywhere.
Had them AND GROUND HORNETS TOO in Mount Carroll. Had to burn them out with Gasoline and a match. Watched embers of burning ground hornets flying out of the ground in front of the house on occasion.
Heh...I was fixing a box fan the other day in my living room when one showed up. And my living room is a no-fly zone! (For wasps and other buzzy things, at least...) Anyway, the Keykeeper and I had purchased some cheap-o wasp killer called "sure kill" or something.
I took aim from across the room (the ceiling fan was making the wasp very mad) and hit it. They weren't kidding--that wasp hit the ground like it was made of lead!
Bill, where in IL are you? I'm from northern IL.
