You know what? I disapprove of stealing. I think piracy is bad. But if sopa passes, a lot of innocent sites will be harmed. If it passes, I will become a pirate. Not because I think it will become okay, but because I refuse to let people profit from this.

@AnomalyINC There is actually a subtle difference between stealing and pirating... pirating is make copies of something... think of it as if your car was stolen but it's still in your driveway in the morning... the only thing really "stolen" is corporations chance of making a profit.

@CJCA915 I think that is the whole point. People need to make money. If people do not bother to pay for, say, a comic book, the creator get no money. If the creator get no money, he may have to stop making the comic, ruining his career. Musicians, who get a large part of their income through concerts have it a little easier than, say, movie creators and the likes. My point is, SOPA is like firebombing a city because some criminals live there.

Personally, I think corporations, etc. make too much as it is, and hoard it to themselves in the way of employee bonuses, etc. If they're going to make all that money, they need to get taxed more, without all the loopholes...

However, SOPA is worse than that... fair use would be the first copyright right up for attack...

@AnomalyINC I have no problem paying for stuff, but when I know most of it goes into the pant lining of a big paper pusher, it ticks me off... and many of them are not just trying to get by... these big white collar workers, are just getting by? Some CEO's make $30k an hour... that's $500 a minute... $8.33 a second... there is no reason for them to be making that much money... I see the kinds of cars they drive, the houses they own, they're not just getting by they're getting by and then some.

I dont care much for SOPA, but I need to point out something. The first amendment does not protect your right to steal. It protects your right to come up with new, ORIGINAL thoughts and share them with America.
