Thank God you posted this version as opposed to his 1948 recording that's EVERYWHERE! This just shows the diligence Lead Belly had with his 12-string, and that running pedal tone and bass vibe he has going on in this recording is MIND-BLOWING. Fuck The Animals, this is the most definitive version of the song ever!

I am a huge Rock N Roll fan and even i say this is hands down the best version of this song.. Beats Dylan and even the Famous Eric Burdon and The Animals version IMO..Ledbelly OWNED this one!
