  • @CrashJSTest what the fuck does that have anything to do with the fact tha tundra's aren't what they are cracked up to be dumbass......

  • the 2007-present GMC Sierra is assembled in

    Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

    Flint, Michigan, United States

    Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States

    Pontiac, Michigan, United States

    Silao, Mexico

    Caracas, Venezuela

  • I love these trucks but wonder how they could have blown it so badly on the engineering with regard to side impact.

  • jesus christ what are you guys expeting if you get t boned by a truck id be glad to have those injuries

  • love chevy, makes smuggling drugs a easy job

  • ok stupid fuck in the video you get t-boned and id be grateful i just have a few broken ribs and a soar neck...

  • @JSoto96 The war between truck makers? If you stack up american trucks overall to jap trucks their is no war. American trucks beat jap trucks hands down overall. Jap trucks are still yet to have any answer to american trcusk in the HD department. Not to mention American 1500 trucks beat out any jap 1500 truck overall. As for Safety Ford has good ratings across the board for their 1500 series, which matches any jap 1500 truck.

  • Wow, the crash test results are alot worse than I expected..

  • @Imawesome2031 well take a look at the 2010 and 2011 silverados. they have 5 star crash test ratings all around. whats there to argue? its official. Chevy is beast

  • That's all assuming a vehicle that's roughly the same size or bigger hits it. If a compact-crap hit it, the truck can be fixed by fxing the dents.

  • heres an idea safety people dont crash..

  • really? cuz my window sticker says it was rolled off a line in michigan and is 80% american. You are comparing a ricer truck that is not meant for towing/hauling against AMERICA's BEST TRUCK. honestly when have you seen a TOYota towing anything heavy or at a construction site?

  • @Jutt08 The NHTSA document only pertains to 2010 vehicles. And actually yes, ive seen quite a few tundra's here doing work that american crap trucks used to do. the tundra also has quite a bit more torque and horsepower. Plus not the mention the tundra has MUCH better crash test safety ratings.

And anyway, if the tundra we're all Japanese built, id be more inclined to buy it even more. I dont see as many old chevys, fords, and dodges as i do toyotas. Fuck American cars.

  • moral of this vid. dont stand in one place.

  • Ya know I listen to this guy say "the occupants of the vehicle could substain rib fractures and internal organ injuries" Show me a vehicle that got hit on the side that wouldn't have risks of those types of injuries......I guess the only thing they can do now is creat a complete interior air bag to protect people lol. hmmmm well maybe they will one day :)

  • chevy is 80% made in america. all parts made here, assembly mexico. the engine and transmission are made here in america. all toyota hav weak frames they cant handle work/or stress cuz they break

  • @Jutt08 Actually no, according to a NHTSA document, the Silverado/Sierra is only 65% American, while Tundra is 80%.

Ford F-Series is 55%, Dodge RAM is 76%, Nissan Titian is 65%

    I do think 80 > 65.

  • dude your not gonna get t-boned by a pile of bricks.

the insurance agency should use an actual vehicle in these tests.

no vehicle is gonna do well when the side of a friggin house hits it at 40mph

  • He was sideswiped by a woman and then she lost control and basically pit manuvered him, I was right behind it it was scary as shit

  • i watched one of these flip on the interstate right in front of me and the guy didn't have a scratch on him

  • Why would a truck flip right on the interstate?

  • It would make more sense to have seat or door mounted side airbags in an SUV or truck cause the other car will probably be hitting lower since the truck is so high...

  • the only two trucks that got the top safety pick for front and side this year are the f-150 and honda ridgeline... even though the ridgeline is considered to be a mid sized truck-- they are the ONLY two.

  • yeah but who wants to drive either of thoes things they're both ugly as sin

  • LOL Anyone still want to think Toyota trucks are better then American trucks?

    Toyota recalling 15,600 Tundra pickups

"There is a possibility that a joint in the rear propeller shaft may have been improperly heat treated, resulting in insufficient hardness," Toyota said in a statement.

This may cause a section of the rear propeller shaft to separate at the joint, it added.

  • Well seeing still as Toyota Motor company isnt banckrupt like General, i mean Government Motors is. Tundra are also safer, after they took out the recalled trucks they strengthened the frame, they also have more quality, not the half-decent quality that goes in to these. But, this is simply my opinion, i expect you to come back with some nasty comment about how im wrong.

  • Take a second look at Toyota. Quality my ass...

  • dude i hit a lifted sierra in my 09 tacoma at 55 and drove it to the body shop. toyotas are the highest quality vehicles on the road bar none. and guess what, most toyotas are actually made in america. where as alot of "american" car companies are outsourcing alot of pre-assembly jobs to MEXICO.

  • I have a Tahoe that was rear ended by a Tundra a few years back. My Tahoe had a bent frame & tow hitch. Guess which one was able to drive to the body shop? I'll give you a hint, it wasn't the Tundra. The older Toyotas were pretty good but the 2000 on up are shit piles.

  • @SteelCity1981 i'll want one after Toyota fixes that brake shit LMAO DODGE RULES

  • @SteelCity1981 I don't necessarily think they are better, but its hard to deny the numbers. Toyotas have much higher resale value than american trucks. That being said, American trucks really are tough. My grandpa had his last chevy for 15 years and beat the you know what out of it every day.

  • @actionsports111 It depends ford 250 diesal trucks have a high resale value. You hardly see a f 250 diesal truck on a used car lot unless it has over 250 thousand miles on it or more and even then their resale value is still high.

  • @SteelCity1981 the brakes on the toyota cars the brakes dont work half the time that why toyota buyers get pay just to buy them

  • @SteelCity1981 american trucks have their problems too, both are still great trucks tho

  • @SteelCity1981 That does not affect safety, and Toyota has no more recalls than any other manufacturer.

  • @Terminxman "the rear propeller shaft to separate at the joint" guess you forgot that part.

  • @SteelCity1981 Is the propeller shaft separating going to injure anyone? no.

  • @Terminxman no its will just come undone causing you to lose control and crash into something or someone yeah it's not a big issue...

  • You know just because a truck is not super safe does not mean its bad. and for all you Tundra fags the tundra saftey is the ONLY thing thats good about it CHEVY FORD MABEY DODGE are the best not those cheap little japs crap toys..

  • SteelCity1981....You are correct, the Nissan also did poorly on these test. The f150 IS the safest truck in America. Not Toyota. Not Nissan.

  • What the hell are some of you people saying America should not make Trucks anymore? The 2009 Ford F-150 got 5 out of 5 starts in both frontal and side impact protection.

  • thats the best part about the truck. i was thinking of the 2009 dodge ram but until i saw the side impact video for the 2009 f-150 and the 2009 dodge ram 1500.

  • You are Suck ;/
