Some time ago I heard a priest saying that there is a laboratory or something that investigates everything related to the devil in order to defeat it... Is that nesessary? Isn't the devil part of what the bible says? Aren't they going against what is written? Funny I was watching tranformers 2 on dvd last night and I was thinking this has a lot of similarities with the bible, fallen angels, and what they say about aliens and pyramids.

Surelly Hollywood could make a big diference with just a little portion of it's daily salary, but I don't expect that from a corporation... But all those investigation and misc. trying to figure out if the world will end in 2012 or what the Revelations book tries to say, not to mention the large amount of people paying attention to that, when the world is practically dying with the actions of our specie.

This world has a perfect natural balance where everything has a reason to be there, every plant, animal, or inorganic substance complement everything else; but our actions (Contaminating, manipulating, extingishing) are attacking and corrupting that balance (An specie of tree almost dissapear when we massacred the Dodo, for an example); if you ask me, all the consequences that this will take us to, sounds pretty much like an apocaliptic fate, not necesary with four horsemen.

Some time ago I heard a priest saying that there is a laboratory or something that investigates everything related to the devil in order to defeat it... Is that nesessary? Isn't the devil part of what the bible says? Aren't they going against what is written? The Christianity, at least the Catholic for what I know, is really powerfull economically, and like Hollywood, they could change the world, do good, instead of making people see things like their religion does.

Back to Hollywood, how manny movies show evironmentalists (Or people who want to save the environment) as mad, evil people/scientists that must be stoped because they cause death and destruction? For what I've seen, usually the mad, evil eniromentalists are stopped but the cause (Or exuse to make a villain) that make they become that way in the first place (Contamination, etc) is not necesary solved... now that is a cliche/manipulation that I really hate.

Interesting. Found this video while researching semiotics in mass media. I would want to research the writings in Revelation myself though, it seems like only a small selection of things are taken from the whole of that book and compared to this movie.

You are not paying attention to what Joe said, but I see you paid a lot of attention to the movie.
The gnostic concept of the movie is to make something like "the cube" to represent our creator, and to make that representation to be evil. Thus, subconsciously many would relate to God as the movie relates to the cube (evil). That's gnosticism.

I never said it wasnt Gnosticism, Have you watched the movie? The cube is never presented as being bad by the autobots they just want to destroy it so Megatron cant use it to destroy the earth. That simple. Like i have to you and a million others who say things like this video. Some of the connections are obvious, like the matrix, legion, and v for vendetta. Yet, this one, you really have to stretch the concepts to fit.

Prophesying future events is much more than a vague prediction of "Oh its going to rain this year".
Try predicting that on the times of Elisha when he prayed for the rain to stop & no rain came down for 3 & 1/2 yrs. Also hundreds of prophesies from the bible have already come true & such prophecies are much complex than the vague illustration you gave me. Try reading the book of Job & see how God described the earth & space way before anyone had technology to describe it & verify it to be so.

And to answer your question, the bible scriptures began during the first century with the descendants of Adam & Eve, such as Enoch. The bible then continued to be developed 4000 yrs before Christ with the Torah, which are the 1st 5 books of Moses. This is the reason why I study, to answer to people like you.
