  • Jay Kay is a damn good performer and his earlier music in the 90s has a lot of truth to it. Especially how much it rings true today. Jamiroquai is the shit :) <3

  • Tightness of the band with the horns and lyrics - tremendous.

Reminds me of Stevie Wonder when I first heard "Songs In The Key of Life"

It's not THAT good, but some of the best I've heard in a long time.

  • 1,292 know good music and know what kind of music they like, the 28 others are either selfish or don't know what music they like. If you thumbs this comment up you will get to see how many likes and dislikes there will be within a length of time.

  • my old time favorite

  • 2011, and we still haven't learned.

  • About 15 years ago I saw this video in the mall and I've been rocking this dude's music ever since

  • humans are so f***** up... are they able to learn?

  • when u gonna wake up to your eternity people! stop it going on! when u gonna learn to stop it going on when u gonna learn to stop it goin on?

  • This song, and the album was years ahead of it's time, look how relevant it is in 2011

  • aaah hehehehehe ahhhhaha hehehheee how i love it <3<3<3

  • ;D greatttttt

  • jay kays a gas guzzler

  • @ogfunk187 naaa he's not, his cars run on bio-ethanol you fuckwit

  • @danathor99 wow you're a fuckwit, not only are they not green they increase the world's food crisis too.

  • @ogfunk187 please go get educated.

  • @danathor99 what, at the 'school of fuckwit' you went to?

  • @ogfunk187 u are a moron

  • @ogfunk187 u are a moron sorry

  • Watched an interview about this song and the producers/agents whatever told them not to do songs like this because they didnt sell. Very few bands put their career on the line like this and actually use their power as musicians to spread IMPORTANT concern/info, most 'artists' use their power to tell the masses to f hos and do drugs. This band not only did all that but did it in a bad-a song...I never listen to the radio anymore. viva jamiroquai.

  • That "oh oh eh eh eh" it seems to me a rap son... What would be?

  • Amazing how this 1993 music is so present !!!

  • People are saying this song is acid jazz but i dont think it technically is. :/

  • 28 people will never gonna learn.

  • when are you gonna learn JK that you are wearing a fur hat!!! Practise what you preach, hipocrit

  • @mauca27 lol dude its a hat his mom made him from polyester! dont point fingers before you know all the facts.

  • @Anbu1221 The thing is that I actually read about that, maybe this hat is made of polyester, but he usually wears fur hats as well.

  • @mauca27 LOL, no he doesn't he is like a member of GreenPeace and everything, it will be faux fur, synthetic fibres made to look and feel like fur, get your facts right....

  • Im so ripped right now.

  • Jay Kay should practice what he preach.

If I see him going down to local Tesco on his bicycle

    then I will listen.

  • what?? jamiroquai britpop???¿!!!

What the hell are you listening!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Ektoplasmatiko sorry i meant the best british band of the 90's

  • Love the song, love the message... It just makes me sad that jaykay stopped making music and lyrics like this because he prefers selling his records rather than spreading ideas.... sigh

  • heads up if u agree

  • I like how they brought in all the instruments and his singing in sync at 2:44. that shit is hot!

  • 27 people are republicans

  • @Flassius I'm a big time GOPer and Jamiroquai is quickly becoming one of my favorite, if not my favorite, bands.

  • @thebrokenrattle whats GOPer??

  • Jamiroquai is and will always be the most Legend wait for it LEGENDARY BAND EVER!

  • legend

  • it's up to you young people because the current generation running this thing don't give a rats ass about anyone but themselves and their bottom line.

  • I wonder if the cameraman who stuck the head on Jay Kay likes this song?

  • proper music.

  • his best song i think, but japanese dont know real JK . just a comacial music known in japan ,No no, feel JK SOUL!!

  • 3:32 was tough to watch. the monkey with his head opened up

  • i loved the bit where the nazis were walking in time with the beat

  • Exactly... I don't think they actually fit into the category Britpop. As far as I know, that consisted mainly of Blur, Oasis, Radiohead, Pulp, and the Verve. (Of which Blur is, of course, the best. ;) )

  • 0:15-0:19 he used another song. Could somebody tells me which song? PLEASE

  • They are PURE acid jazz and I just love it!!

  • wtf?? britpop?? this is pure acid jazz

  • honestly, I don't see them as britpop. More of acidjazz funk.

  • it's similar to hiphop

  • Legalább az angol szöveget kiírhatnák :)

  • before popstars get famous there hearts are in the music, then they get dragged into the dirt of the music industry, then they become greedy and blind and start singing about girls and cars, shame.

  • this no fckn britpop on jk stuff you bastard !

  • how can 27 ppl not like this track..? :S they must b fkin deaf!

hes an amazin artist, well unique. u cant compare jamiroquai 2 any1 else

  • @marcusboii21 yeah!

  • Efficace!

  • we got to stop it going on!!!True lyrics, great music!

  • True lyrics,great music!

  • This is such an inspiring video, he's innovating in music like no one had since hip-hop, and hasn't since, and to boot, it has a great message.

However, he's turned his back on music, and his message at this point. Fuck Jay Kay.

  • @Wolfy2k8

Have you heard his pop-rock album yet? Blue Skies? And White Knuckle Ride is just a shitty DGHAC

  • @Obatrops If jk kept the same style as the other albums there would be comments i.e '' this is just like the other albums, you need new material '' he's getting comments ' what happened to the old funk you promised '' etc, so either way theres an issue , and i didnt like blue skies when i first heard it, but then i actually listend to it and thought it was sick

  • @Wolfy2k8

Not true. Hist first 3 albums were all super complex acid jazz, and there tons of experiments. this is not evolution.

  • All of his songs are just SOOOOO GOD DAMN FUNKKKKKYYYYY!!!!!

  • What's happening to the world??? We are slowly killing ourselves!!!

  • wowww i love it!

  • funk is the best........

  • that scene at 2:22 to 2:27 is pretty difficult to watch, what a cowardly, pathetic race we are

  • @bearkillerstudios what is there ? what animals ?

  • @MartinaFromPoland He/she is talking about the seals. They round up baby seals and beat them to death with sticks.

  • @bearkillerstudios What animals are in that scene? It was hard for me to see, so sad.:( Were they birds or seals?

  • @gravilac i think they were clubbing seals, sickening.

  • @gravilac i think seal...so sad

  • too right, I thought that was sickly

  • @bearkillerstudios Hope you enjoyed your steak last night. I'd say we are hypocrites more then anything else. :)

  • @bearkillerstudios the only matter on earth is.... human beings

  • temazo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a true gem

the graphic images, especially the ones of animal cruelty breaks my heart everytime : (

  • True words that only get truer with time.

  • me encanta eSte video me da alegria

  • @NeNnItHa21 sinceramente nena,te pido disculpas si te ofendí.....bye

  • This video is so tough to watch. Mostly 2:22

All the stuff we worry about now, Jamiroquai were singing about it 15 years ago.

  • Bless you Jamiroquai. Great song too ffs......

  • I get your message. GlobalizAAAAAAAAstion has taken over to the detriment of all sentient beings.....

  • the bass is so funky...

  • bass is amaizing.

  • in Locarno a few days was awesome...getting him back on stage after finishing the song only w the refrain...great feelin'

  • The best ab-lib lyrical filler Ever at 2:26!!

  • The Kings of Britpop:

    1. Jamiroquai (the first)

    2. Radiohead

    3. Oasis

    4. Blur

    5. The Verve

  • @ResorteraTV You mean Kings of British music? Because Jamiroquai is funk/acid-jazz and Radiohead is rock. Only Oasis, Blur and Verve are britpop.

  • @RATMfan92 yeah british pop music of the 90's....

  • @ResorteraTV acid jazz

  • @ResorteraTV glad u put jamiroquai and radiohead first. don't think you're far off the mark there, mate ;o)

  • @ResorteraTV I'd swap The Verve for Primal Scream

  • @ResorteraTV acid jazz is jay kay

  • @llilloify sorry, but is the best british band of the 90's

  • @ResorteraTV Love numbers 1, 2 and 4. Haven't heard much from 3 or 5. I'll check them out =D

  • @ResorteraTV your last 3 entries are some of the most meaningless bands of all time. Oasis stated that they were the new Beatles. They had what, one album on the charts and then disappeared. They wont even be a footnote in music history. Look up British-Pop outside your "taste" in music. You will be enlightened to real artistic masters. after all your my wonderwall - really?

  • although, 1 & 2 r spot on

  • @0ddj0e its down to personal preference. no right or wrong man

  • @0ddj0e thats got to be the biggets understatement ever about oasis, fair enough if you dont like them, but they are one of the biggest bands ever since the beatles, now they aren't bigger than the beatles, i liked bands that were far overlooked despite their populairty, bands like suede and pulp will be my favourite for the britpop era, but to claim oasis didnt really do anything is just blind ignorance...

  • Comment removed

  • @ResorteraTV you think that jamiroquai is britpop??

hes british...but his sound is more funk than other thing...anyway blur are the best britpop band ever for sure...oasis realy sucks

  • @ResorteraTV with years, coldplay will be over many of them

  • @DERZWERGE11 coldplay?? bland fucking shit chris sings like he got a blocked nose even wore than u2

  • @ResorteraTV Jamiroquai is always Brit Soul NEVER Britpop - wicked anyways x

  • @ResorteraTV Jamiroquai is always Brit Soul NEVER Britpop - wicked anyways

  • @ResorteraTV yeah, but does it acid jazz, doesn't?

  • umm....where are the Beatles on your list if you're talking about the "Kings of Britpop?" Oasis doesn't merit a top 5 spot in my opinion....

  • @ResorteraTV

great, to but jamoroquai is acid jazz (some knd of) band and the others are rock bands. does it make it britpop?

  • @ResorteraTV what about the cure?=/

  • @stormrage011 but this band is from 1979

  • cool song cool beat cool guy..i remember the first time i saw this video.. =)

  • so deep

  • I still can't get over this video being banned in the US when it was released. >:(

  • I want a funky boyfriend like him for Christmas!! :D

  • New album should be out in September.

  • awesome music these guys make! I hope they release new funky music soon!

  • Comment removed

  • @Pfunk60 So go watch some monkeys beat some sticks together. Jamiroquai're all human. I like animals too, and dislike a large part of humanity, but I'm human and would rather work to change my own kind where I deem appropriate. Good day, Sir.

  • @Pfunk60 How about 2:22 that's just horriblee!

    And yeah, humans are shit.

  • Wow, watch and ponder the BP situation

  • SORRY in 3:37

  • Man i adore this band, their music was so meaningful not just some random words put together, with so much feel back when kids actually new music instead of the emo hair swoop boybands we have today

  • I think those fools at BP and every greedy corporate elite needs to hear the message in this song

  • Lovvving Jay Kay for the strong environmental message! Great song and killer basslines by Stuart Zender.

  • a song so good, with a very positive message. elproblema is that until we change the thinking of man in general, the world collapsed. but the intention is what matters

  • On Saturday 26 June Hyde Park, London, UK

Stevie Wonder celebrates his 60th birthday at Hard rock Calling 2010 in Hyde park. On the same bill as Stevie including JAMIROQUAI, James Morrison and Corinne Bailey Rae. 50,000 fans are expected to sing happy birthday to Stevie.

  • On 24 August 2009

Derrick McKenzie was interviewed and talked the new album will be recorded live and have a style similar to the first three albums with the use of strings and horns. He claims the album will have less of a "disco sound" and will be a lot more funky and soulful.

  • @lauraazuly If that's true, you've just made my day.

  • @dreadknot69 its true september 2010, Jay Kay say here in youtube: NAME SEARCH : Jay Kay 1000 Miglia 2010 3:41

  • On 13 May 2010

    - Derrick says the album is finished.

    - Talking about the recording process, Rob says the album is less computer based than previous efforts and that it's a bit closer to the older style of the band, but at the same time sounds nothing like the older style.

  • clasics

  • i love jamiroquai, and especially jay kay, he really sings about the truth

  • Fucking great bassist!

  • Deeper than Deep*******

  • idk, but he seems to have turned into some kind of megalomaniac which is probably why the starting band broke up...now it is just paid musicians for backup...i mean yeah, the guy can write and sing songs sure...but the sound they had back in the day was priceless

  • I like how they have the name of the song throughout the WHOLE video. Would love it if TV did it nowdays, instead of having to listen to the WHOLE song just to get the name XD

  • the bass killss....

  • The best !

  • Jay Kay really speaks the truth in this song. I'm glad that some artists aren't afraid of telling it like it is.

  • This is one of the best songs ever written and of course performed.

    Truly excellent.

  • People should listen lyrics of this song & think

  • I cannot understand where modern music is going. Over-compression, auto-tuning or studio editing? The quality of music is dissipating. Im hearing less authentic musicians on the radio than before. To modern music: Jamiroquai is a perfect example of authentic musicians. We're blessed to still have them around.

  • this song make my cry jamiroquai is the best, the best legend of 90's

  • I cry every time I watch this video

  • this song is 100% true, jamiroquai the best of the bests in the 90's

  • Jamiroquai is ....just, so....GOOD. period.

  • They had to invet a new music style when guys came along..

  • They had to invent a new music style when these guys made their first album..

  • jamiroquai is the best legend of funk

  • @ResorteraTV true, I love them ! ;]

  • new album un 2010 jamiroquai come back!

  • @lauraazuly they never went away

  • @dizwiz12 I know i meant cant wait for new album

  • when????????

  • when??????

  • @juberqd The new album? SEPTEMBER.

  • @lauraazuly I look forward to it! :)

  • The first time I saw this video, I rushed right out and bought the CD. It was their first release. But somehow, they got "Best New Artist" at the MTV VMA's for "Virtual Insanity" a few years down the road. I was confused in that "Virtual Insanity" was actually from their third album and therefore they were not "new artists" so to speak. I don't know, you do the math...

  • @MissAndrene lol, true. You'd say their best music was already made after travelling without moving had been released

  • I guess they were "new" to MTV, who were too busy worshipping at the altar of Kurt Cobain when this first came out. (No disrespect to the man.) Thank God I disovered Jamiroquai by accident a year or so earlier. One of the best accidents in my life!

  • Aside from JK's leftist views on the world which are spilled out in his lyrics(i'm on the right), his music is some of the best that I've listened to! I can sit all day and listen to nothing but Jamiroquai, and never get tired of it!!...And it just so happens that they are my second favorite band...right behind The Who....there's something to be said about the UK and the music!!! It's good sh*t!!!!

  • @aristo726 i don't see them being left wing views. It's more like anarcy, as he talks about "depending on each other" and love overall

Lol, but that's totally unimportant topic! I love all of the band's music, and I mean ALL of it
