  • I tried following your photos but was not very lucky, i am as lost as i don't know what, maybe an actual video would help, in fact i know it would

  • I liked it, I'm gonna try to make a bracelet for a hand flower I'm making=)

  • Love the video. Please don't yell at the end. I think I just had a heart attack.

  • @dunebuggie Damn, you're still alive...I'll have to do something to insure a fatality. Thanks for the heads up.

  • I came across this video looking how to do flat herringbone...thanks so much for the tutorial, it really helped! I'm trying to take over the world, one bead at a time. ;-D

  • Another great tutorial.Watching you do these makes these stitches much less intimidating then seeing them in the books. Thanks for sharing! :)

  • wouldve been easier with a real motion video

  • ciao, passa nel mio sito se ti va ed iscriviti se ti piace baci

  • Beautiful! Simply Beautiful.

This video has helped me understand herringbone stitch. Thanks!

  • Congratulations. Very interesting. Have you ever thought of using Murano glass beads?

    Congratulations on your creations.

  • use no edits. vid, not pics. use precise terms. put signs for top & bottom. always define "last", "top", "step.up", and skip nothing, assume nothing. do it over

  • @twinstar9 Aren't they giving you enough to do down at that pig trough on the Potomac, otherwise known as the Federal Government Employee Union?

I absolutely take it for granted, & much more than assume, viewers aren't as stupid as you mindless little dictators think they are. True to red tape, stand still bureaucratic form, you think more distractions, disguised as "instruction," would improve things. You wanna help? Get a life of your own.

  • @twinstar9 your videos are fuzzy, creepy, old, and stingy. i give this person all the credit in the world for putting this tutorial on the web. this video wasn't easy to make.

Anyway, @tsummerlee, thanks so much for this!

  • hands down, the best ever tutorial on youtube I have ever seen.

  • @msgwenneth Wow, thanks so much!

  • That was such a clear explanation of this stitch. I can't wait to get started

    Thanks!

  • @AmberSoleil Thank you!

  • @AmberSoleil how was it in any way clear???

  • @elfinangel1995 It was perfectly clear to me.

  • I like all your work, You are very funny and enjoy able to learn from you, but in this project as first I kind of confuse, because you use only one color it was hard to see, then I try little of my technique and your I put together. Now I get it.

Thank you very much for the lesson.

  • @Chaufoxy It never occurred to me to use two colors! I'm glad you figured it out, though. :)

  • this video is great. ive made 4 bracelets already and experimenting with patterns :D

but... i do have a problem... i have no idea how to finish the bracelets... how do i tie them off? id love to know how to make that bead knot ive seen in allot of bracelets, but i dont know what its called so i cant seem to be able to google it. would love some help :P

  • @armedo109 To end the stitch, I usually just weave the thread through the beadwork for quite a while until it's secure, then I tug the thread and cut it close to the beads. I wish I knew what a "bead knot" was. A surgeons knot, maybe?

  • this is great I followed it no problem, even managed to make a beaded cross from the pattern!!

  • @babyD73 No way...really? I was thinking of doing another video just on how to make the ladder part, the first step.

  • This would be alot easier to understand if it was a video and not pictures!

  • @Zubradevine You're the only one who thinks so.

  • ugh i hate to say this but i kinda agree with him. I was getting it till about only about the closed loop of 4 beads a minute in. I got lost because it got a little tricky for me to figure out where exactly you were putting your needle through because they were pictures. I know you said where but because i couldn't see i got confussed

  • @mrcheekycheeks Practice practice. String four, bring your needle up through the first two and pull both ends of thread. Practice.

  • @mrcheekycheeks Did you figure it out?

  • i donno i might just be a slow learner, or beader lol, i will try again tomorrow and keep you updated:)

  • Im finding it hard to figure out too

  • OMG OMG OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! This is the exact pattern i was looking for!

  • You're welcome welcome welcome! lol.

  • Thank you SO much for sharing your knowledge!! I am already thinking of about 10 different things I can do with this!!

  • :(( it's not moving im planning to give something i made for my bestfriend i will try it ty but it's best if it's moving

  • I don't know what you mean...

  • I agree with ilovewillf. it's an interesting tutorial but I think film we can follow would be easier than pictures? Can you do this?

    Thanks anyway!

  • Nope. Not yet, anyway.

Actually, I think I might be dangerous with a real video camera. Beading could go right out the window in favor of something like...catching the drug dealer next door selling crack. Stuff like that.

I agree it would be easier to follow, but you'd have to come over here and hold the camera for me, not to mention deal with my crime fighting antics. But if you're game, it might be fun.

  • @tsummerlee Now I have actually read your reply with the light on (first time round I read it that you could be a drug baron who also beads to relax lol) ~ I see a much needed place for the beading crime fighting sluth! Get the camcorder going, you can save the world ;o)

    Thanks for your reply lol!

  • Fer real!

  • hi! I'm new to beading and was wondering what type of thread should I use? Thanks for the awesome video!

  • Thanks! The kind of thread of weaving medium you should use really depends on what kind beading you want to do. If you want to try weaving (like the stuff in my videos) there's a variety of threads to use. I personally use Fireline, which is a fishing line you can buy at the sporting goods store. I use 4, 6, and 8 lb test line.

Nymo is a very good beading thread, and comes in lots of colors and sizes. Do a little research, and you'll find just the right one. :)

  • muy lindo

  • La técnica no está bien explicada. De esta forma quedan hilos a la vista...

  • Siéntase libre de hacer y publicar una mejor explicación. Los hilos son visibles son a propósito para mostrar su dirección.

  • you should get a loom so you could do even more!

  • i can't do it :( i have a real problem following stuff like this.

  • :(

    That sucks.

  • I am really enjoying this! I just took a bead class in this but Had difficulty, They ended up taking a row of 8 and then folding in half. I think your method is much simpler. Do you know a good source pricewise for delicas?

I really enjoy your videos and have put them on my bead playlist!

    smiles, grace in VT

  • I think this is amazing. I will try this weekend.

  • this is basic and very useful, thank you! i'll bead the hell out of anyone :)

  • I don't understand the negative comments. Not everyone can afford expensive equipment and furthermore her pics are very very clear. I enjoyed her technique, just have patience people:-) Thank you for your demo.

  • this is confusing.. would be better live.

  • Sure. Come on over and I'll show you "live." ;)

  • Why can't it be live except of the skipping its hard to follow.

  • What a great idea! How bout if you buy me the camera I need to accommodate you? ;) I accept bribes of that kind.

  • I use size 12 beading needles, but if you use bigger beads, you can use a regular sewing needle for this, or almost any weave.

    HTH! :)

  • I am really new to this and i would like to know what number is the neddle and what number are the beads?
