  • awww the old harrier fleet

  • is that lady amelia, 2 along from camilla?

  • Civilization II Adam Smith's Trading Company ^_^

  • Much as I love the piece of music playing, I wish we just had the engine noise ;-)

  • 0:50 C-17 FTW

  • what would make this the best id if they made a huge Union jack with the RAF Red Arrows (red), CAF snowbirds(white) USAF Thunderbird (white), and the US Navy Blue Angels (blue).

  • 50% of them have been junked by "Call me dave" Cameron.

  • When I saw this I thought britain was getting invaded lol..

  • Always shed a tear when there's an RAF flypast, truly symbolic of how great Britain truly is

  • i love it at the end where they all rush in great filming lol

  • Only the British..I feel one day we will be united with Germany

  • @MIKE21071964 dude i agree i think we could be united with russia if we was not doing all of U.S.A dirtys work

  • @MIKE21071964 we are?

  • good to know that all of these planes arent even 6% of our RAF

  • @ampthilluk Yeah, they all add up to just under 25%

  • @ShowPolitics no i said 6%... the raf has over 900 aircraft.

  • @ampthilluk Not after all of the cuts, there will possibly be around 260 combat aircraft (including helicopters) and 210 non-combat aircraft, face it, the RAF wasn't what it once was...

  • who are those people to the left of the prince charles (or as you watch..our right)

  • Then suddenly a Stuka drops out of the clouds.

  • I thought using the Lanc and Spitfire/Hurricane was a bad idea. At a WW2 commemoration, or military celebration or airshow - fantastic. But for a wedding, and with the high popularity of the Royal family in Germany, which would've had a large TV audience, pretty crass and insensitive. Thoughts?

  • @crapatev - Within the UK those aircraft are historically synonymous with British innovation under pressure. It doesn't particularly conjour images of burning German civillians. Obviously history is a little more complicated than we tend to remember. For example, every time I use a microwave I dont think of something that was designed to feed soldiers while they killed Germans, but never the less that was the reality. The spitfire in particular is one of the best British aircraft ever designed.

  • @crapatev Fire-bombing Dresden for old times sake would have been entertaining for Phillip.

  • @jacksawild Rearranging rubble is so 1945. Always go for fresh targets - I understand Buenos Aires is highly combustible this time of year.

  • This is wonderful. All the riots and crap now. Britain needs to get back to old fashioned values. Focus on being great again. produce our own things not buying in from abroad all the time and sending our products to be made over seas.

  • @simonsteam Quote "produce our own things not buying in from abroad all the time". Amen to that. That is precisely the way to go.

  • It's everything that makes us British.

  • I guess the UK are alright paying for these displays.

  • @bestposted Damn straight!

  • @bestposted I know I am

  • I think I applied to join the Royal Australian Air Force today. Wonder if I'll get through.

  • @sherwinjtb you THINK you applied? well if you THINK you did, i dont reckon you have any chance of getting through, if you KNOW you did, well, i guess you'll have to go and find out :D

  • All that's missing is a Stealth Bomber like the one we get that flies over the Tournament of Roses each New Years Day. The sonic boom is amazing.

    Love Camilla's hat!

  • RAF is probably the best Air Force in Europe. It's probably the most experienced, the oldest and also the largest (in terms of aircraft anyway). In terms of world ranking, the RAF is probably 3rd or 4th, only to those giant countries like the USA, Russia, etc. But that's not bad at all to be honest. :-)

  • it would be cool if they let some USAF planes from Mildenhall or Lakenheath participate. as a sign of respect

  • God save the Queen! God save the pride of old Blighty!

  • There IT is!

  • i will tell New Zealanders that. Republicism is coming...

  • Who's paying for all that ???????????????????

  • @paddygeo

Us Britons, who are proud that our taxes are what make the amazing Royal Airforce!

  • @paddygeo - who cares?

  • @CanadianMonarchist1 Well said!!

  • i was there

  • holy shit Royal Air Force is awesome
