  • R.I.P. Freddie My bad....on the spelling.

  • R.I.P. Freddy Well represented here, no doubt......Killer version of this Classic!! P. Rodgers & Queen going about their business like the Masters they are. Man, would've loved to been at THAT show. : )

  • who notices the paul rodgers slip at 1:27?

  • I'm glad Paul Rodgers stepped in to help out... A fellow Englishman. They should invite the guy from Australia.. I think Adam Lambert will be awesome, but when you receive so much backlash from the fans, then I think it's time to adjust..

  • 3:01 - 3:07 no one can do this! only Brian!

  • I can see here a few experienced, not-young musicians, that are reminding old times, they are telling beautiful story, they're singing slowly, not laud and everybody are listening, and musicians finally bring the past to the scene.

  • I thought I was going to hear "It's Late." :)

  • @Alexander87oclock me too hahahaha

  • and people think adam lambert can do a better job! ahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!! Paul Rodgers rocks!! a true legend not some reality tv wannabe!

this is an epic version of HTF, a nice slow blusey/melodic start, then boom complete rock out!

  • this is just awesome.. brian may rocks

  • Paul is great, Freddie was just perfect, do not compare them just enjoy what you see, the one who is missing is John Deacon, he should be there, i dont why he is not.

  • @MrAristhan John Deacon retired from the music business in the early '90s however Brian and Roger did ask him to return for this tour. He politely refused.

  • @MrAristhan

He rightly doesn't want support damaging his best lives through covers with Robbin Williams or this punk-band that attempted to sing "We Will Rock You".

    Paul Rodgers is good.

Anyway, Deacon was always "the quiet one".

  • May and Rodgers are unique in that without visual reference– by hearing just a few of their notes, one can tell who they are.

  • Simply beautiful, people who compare or think Paul isn't as good as Freddie, don't waste you're time commenting. Freddie was probably the best performer ever, but it does not mean anyone else is just as good. I know for a fact Freddie was looking down with a proud smile on his face and that Paul is doing him justice. Queen are still rightfully playing their music like any legends should.. just appreciate it!

  • @Cbrennan456 There is a story that Freddie once saw Paul perform and thought he was the best vocalist he had ever heard.

  • It's a good performance but Freddie isn't 'looking down' and smiling on anyone. He's dead.

  • Did Roger not do his usual vocals at 3:29 and 3:40 ?......missed his voice there :(

  • direi che è favolosa! un vero capolavoro

  • who knew chuck norris could sing like that?

  • Comment removed

  • @garryjlindsay It's simply amazing isn't it?... When I seen him last year, that was one of the best days of my life.

  • next singer MACK MARTEL

  • @moises8074 Haha... no. No thanks. I'd rather have a real singer. He can play in his little cover band.

  • @SigandGibbs you´re right

  • @moises8074 Um...WHO???

  • @336kgf ?

  • Good old Chuck!

  • Paul looks like Chuck Norris on his worst days :)

  • I hope Paul Rogers and Queen do another album and or tour together again. they sounded great. i miss Freddie but Paul is just as good since the Show Must Go On and on and on and on and on and on...

  • Brian FUCKING May. 'Nuff said.

  • tendrían que probar a Bruce Dickinson

  • excellent substitute Freddie

  • TheThepurplebird: no, it's a sixpence (sixpenny piece) a bit of British currency which became obsolete in 1971. About the same size as a dime. Good though, innit?

  • very powerful

  • I saw Q & PR live twice, they are amazing!!!!!

  • The voices of Paul, Roger and Brian just goes together so beautifully. 2:06 gives me goosebumps every single time!

  • is that a quarter?

  • Comment removed

  • Great memories from the concert they performed in Madrid in 2005... I love you, guys. Freddie, we miss you.

  • :((((((((((((( Ive gtta be honest when i listen to this version i imagined freddie sitting beside brain watching him singin ;((((( I cried

  • @ahmedsobhisat1 Me to ;( He will never be gone :)

  • essa musica para mim é a melhor que eu ja vi, ainda mais nesse tipo

  • essa musica para mim é a melhor que eu ja vi, ainda mais nesse tipo

  • Awesome xx Cant stop watchin this x

  • Rodgers is a veteran rock vocalist . His stuff with Bad Company is classic. Yes I wish Freddie was today here but don't ever count out Paul Rodgers.

  • Brian May + Paul = Transcendence...

  • I love them so much!

  • Freddie was class but i've always thought Paul Rodgers is the best rock singer since I was 14 years old.... this only serves to confirm it for me... long may you continue Paul.... 2.27 - 2.34.... wooohhhh

  • Paul Rodgers in his own right can sing as good as anyone you would like to put with Queen.

Hes voice and temprement is a complete match with Freddies music and Paul has shown hes no new boy, but he bloody awsome in this enviroment.

  • I adore this song!!!

  • As much as freddie is the best, paul is great too. He does not try to be like Freddie at all, he makes his own style and tries to just be himself. You can see that Brian and Roger like him, if only they could get john back.....

  • there wont ever be a replacement for freddie :D

  • Simpletons dislike this - those that say that Brian should be ashamed or the Jon Deacon was some how above this - get real. So, the music that these guys helped create should just lie in ruins and be relegated to CD players and mp3s? No, they have the right and we have the privilege of hearing them play it again. And Paul Rogers - well, he has one of the iconic voices in rock, and I personally think Freddie is smiling down on them.

  • 3:13 Roger Taylor showing how to drum LIKE A BOSS!

  • COULDNT THEY TAKE PAUL MCARTNEY OR DAVID GILMOUR OR SOME OTHER REAL ROCK SINGERS?

I THINK THAT MAY CAN SING WITHOUT PROBLEMS ALL THE SONGS OF QUEEN. IT WILL BE OK, WE KNOW HIS VOICE ALREADY.

  • Pure class. I adore Paul Rodgers and this was a really special concert. Freddie would've loved it :')

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • pure pure pure legend this is as good as it gets watch so hard and try to learn

  • The fact that Brian's using a quarter as a pick makes me love him that much more. I've heard of him doing it a lot but never actually saw him do it in any videos. What a legend.

  • @Rockinrollinman625 its not a quarter its a british sixpence

  • @knighty1964 Ah, okay. I thought it looked like one. Never seen a sixpence before.

  • Totally love this song!! Genius

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i can see freddie on tht stage :)

  • @ACDC983

That empty stool is for Freddy. For many songs it just is there waiting for the real singer to arrive...

  • love this version!!

  • Rock Anthem to the max!

  • Gave me chills when I first heard this version

  • Paul Rodgers... sorry.... greatest rock singer ever... NO question....

  • Hit me one more time...yeah,yeah yeah...Mr. Paul..RESPECT!!

  • the sound of the red special is amazing !!!!!!

  • I know with all these video's people will dislike, just because freddie isn't singing, but much like the case with my favorite band, Thin Lizzy, Freddie and Phil Lynott are dead, and none of the replacment singers are trying to immitate or replace them, they are just keeping their memory and music alive, and paul rodgers does an outstanding job, long live the memory of all these amazing groups!

  • Man, this song is probably one of the most powerful and brilliant songs in rock history. Gettin Goosebumps and wanting to jump around crazy at the same time. Simply amazing, as soo many songs of Queen!

  • a song brilliantly written by brian may.....and no one could perform it like queen

  • man, i just love roger on drums...

  • @substitute91 hes so good aint he??

  • @youngelvisnightowls u bet he is =))

  • paul has done a great job with queen, doing the fans a favour and still doing live concerts, in freddies honour, and im a quo fan, so its nice to see timeless songs still being done live.....LONG LIVE QUEEN

  • Oh man, that Red special is a fine peice of work.

  • @Gruntpunter026 check /watch?v=EJQdCoxGw0w interesting and fun seeing :-) all the best

  • beautiful

  • Is it just me or is Paul Rodgers the best singer in the whole wide world?

  • @AceOfHeart2012 2nd best singer in the world(Paul).

  • @AceOfHeart2012

Second best living singer (after Roger Daltrey) and third best ever (Freddie is number one).

  • @AceOfHeart2012 just you

  • @satanaonline Ahhhh. Oh yeah... Fuck you!

  • @AceOfHeart2012 You're ABSOLUTELY right!!

  • I started likeing Brian May along time ago when I found out Rory Gallagher was one of his insperations. I've followed his career and he sure carved out his own signature sound you can tell it anywhere. Just like Rory soooooo underated not by me but the 'Music establishment'. Adding Paul Rodgers to this band is like fuel to the fire. Thanks for the poster for giving us this gem.

  • Queen keep rocking!!! We love you!!!

  • 13 people are still waiting for the "Hammer to Fall".

  • Roy is doing good

  • I mean Roy Rodgers is cool. Different than Freddie , but quet cool

  • @RolandRhodes1

His name is Paul Bernard Rodgers not Roy Rodgers

  • Queen is my favorite band in the world. They are amazing

  • This is one of my favourites and the words are superb. Keep the music alive guys!

  • This is one of my favourites and the words are superb. Keep the music alive guys!

  • I personally prefer Pauls voice over Freddie's. Still love Freddie for everything he was.

  • Brian May's voice suits this song too!

  • Just an awesome display of rock n roll talent..Freddie would be proud!!

  • Freddie was the best frontman and the band is special. Paul Rodgers will never replace Freddies but still Elton John and Paul Rodgers were excellent!!! Bravo!! The show must go on

  • Paul Rodgers, i respect you and i love how you sing but THAT IS NOT YOUR CHAIR! IT'S FREDDIE'S CHAIR! So please, don't sit there again :)

    Greetings :)

  • :D Paul Rodgers is amazing, Brian is great. I LOVE this song! the beginning is great then they rock out and its just a great mix... Freddie was good but i thinks this one is better :/

  • I'm sorry to say, but queen died the day freddy mercury died :(

still Brian and the gang rocks, but Paul... really dude....

    R.I.P Freddy

  • @rubenqaqas ....yr right Queen died when freddie did but although Queen & Freddie will live forever its so nice to hear the songs live again helps us to remember just how good the songs and Freddie are.Iv been lucky enough to see Queen 4 times Brian 2 times and Queen + PR 3 times and yes he will never be as good as freddie ( like every motal singer ) he did his best and was brave enough to try and sing his songs so he deserves credit but Queen & Freddie will rule forever

  • @QueenMMTD aye aye Paul does a great job

  • @rubenqaqas couldn't agree more

  • love the beginning they just changed it into their own like it was meant to be that way before but when freddie died it was just fantastic to know that his songs were going to be sung by different artists including paul rodgers and axl rose. we will rock you will be the best song ever made along with bohemian rhapsody.

  • Brian's better.

  • I really can't stand Paul Rodgers. The guy sucks.

  • @satanaonline behave yerself, Rodgers is the dogs bollix.

  • @satanaonline I really can't stand your one-dimensional view. You suck.

  • @satanaonline that made me laugh actually... paul rogers is one of the best (if not the best) rock singers of all time. The tone in the man's voice is outstanding! Take your ignorant views elsewhere.

  • I was there on the concert!! eternal experience!!

  • Queen and Paul...fantastic!

  • Don't get it. There is NOT another Freddie Mercury, as there is no other Paul Rogers. If the alternative choice was to never hear Queen jam again, I believe that would be an unwise choice for a person to make. Paul Rogers is and always has been one of the top vocalists in blues/rock..........but as some one else stated earlier, I can't see Mercury doin' anything but smilin' at what May and the others are doing with their music.

  • I just cant feel the mafic. Its not the same with paul.

  • This version is one of my fav songs

  • Wish Freddie had sang this version!!!!! He'd f**kin rock it

  • damnt quuen why no 480 or better 720 >.<

  • fuck this version, crap!!!

  • Wheter it's with Freddie or Paul, Queen will always be one of the greatest rock bands in history.

  • all i can say...AWSOME!!!!

  • i like the unplugged-version but this is not better than the original fast version!

  • Paul Rodgers/Danny Bonnoduce....separated at birth?

  • @eartant There is a definite resemblance but Paul doesn't look as angry or pumped up!

  • 3: 24 is incredible vocal and sound attack

  • Paul, Roger and Brian's voices together at 2:03... goosebumps!!!

  • nice one foul owl

  • Absolutly fucking Brilliant!

  • this is the best version of it ever.a wonderfully constructed first half of the song and ............wah wah....................wah wah...............BRILLIANT.and pauls voice is brilliant as is brians guitar playing and rodgers drumming.they're all legends and thats includin John Deacon the original bass player.

  • I think Freddie would approve

  • Brian is using an old sixpence as a pick. I've got a 1955 vintage sixpence sitting in a lighter holder if Brian ever wants it.

  • Comment removed

  • Brian May is one of The Best Guitarist/Singer of the music's story(sorry for the english xD)

  • Paul Rodgers is voice of rock! He is great singer!

  • Paul Rodgers is amazing singer, I understand that Freddie was big part of Queen and not replacable, but anybody who calls him bad singer is ignorant bastard, who knows nothing

  • I get the impression people that disapprove of Q+PR never saw them live, fabulous combination.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos Paul Rodgers, I agree is an amazing, talented, controlled, powerful and kick ass singer!

  • it is very sad to see Paul and Queen, not together any more, very sad !!!! best band very put together .. i have been to many Queen shows and when Paul joined them they have become a very special band , Freddy yes was a good singer but will never be a Paul Rodgers, sure there are the gay followers Queen has !! i Seen this band in Ukraine And two other places and with Paul and his song with Queens Songs,God Dam !!! there is no band that even comes close to put the show on like them !

  • @GoodGuitarSolos its prejudice, pure & simple! Hopefully there's time enough to learn & grow up! As Robert Plant says"I hope so!).

  • This is awesome for it's own but i can feel what it would be if this would have done with freddie! Even better!!!

  • your missing the point here... the point is that queen lives on which is what freddie would have wanted.

  • @WrWiLdCaTs your right Freddie worked right up until his death he only announced his illness a couple of days before he died. I think would be flattered to think someone like Paul Rodgers would want to perform his songs and keep his legacy alive. After all they are fantastic songs!

  • For all of us.

  • @FoulOwl So you like Freddie, eh? Queer much? I'm so glad I reported all those uploaded copyright violations on your channel to YouTube.

  • @CoIoradoMikeyS So you're a fucking pussy ass "flaggot "...it figures. To bad you got the wrong account.

  • @FoulOwl I just noticed you're using Rush's "Fly By Night" album cover as your background image, without permission. I just reported it as an image violation on your channel. YouTube will be contacting you soon. Will you EVER learn your lesson?

  • @CoIoradoMikeyS Dude..like I really give a fuck. Its just a lame ass YouTube account.IT really means NOTHING to me in the sceme of things. Will YOU EVER learn YOUR lesson. You are a non-issue.You and your trivial bullshit means nothing. You know, they're working miracles with psych meds these days. You should look into it.I hope you find the help you need.

  • @CoIoradoMikeyS Not Cool - What are you- an attorney for Rush ?

  • After all,and even with Freddies passing, they're just keeping the real spirit of rock alive

  • It's not like any of these guys are standing at the mailbox waiting on a check. They did this outta love.

  • I think the little nod and smile from Brian to Paul at around 1:50 says it all.Any haters can just argue with those guys about it.

  • It pisses me off when people slag this guy off. Be fucking grateful there still rocking without Freddie. PR is a very good singer.

  • awesome!!!!

  • We can honor the dead without worshipping them to the point where we can't let life go on and be beautiful, like this song. Let Freddie rest in peace, don't worship him like some janitor at Lenin's tomb. Freddie lives through his music, his music is alive and well to this day and in good hands, just listen. And

    PAUL

    RODGERS

    IS

    THE

    F******

    MAN!!

  • the performance at wimbley stadium 1986 , in my opinion is the best

i think its the best performance ever and especially of queen

  • It's performances like this that pay tribute to Freddie. They are innovative and soar high and strong.

    To the Great Mr. Mercury!!!

  • wow none of these look like they are in their 60s

  • I think that May and Taylor should just tour as Queen now with some backing musicians now that Rodgers is done. They have the voices and talent to do it, and it would cool to hear some other Queen songs sung by them.

  • I deffinatly prefer the slow begining to this song than the fast one with the drums
